LIBS in the state are trying to scare widowed couples who live together about their status. Nevertheless, it appears the people of North Carolina will defy Obama.

Obama has reportedly taken a public stand against the idea that North Carolinians should declare their allegiance to the Biblical definition of marriage. You lose, BO.

Hah! And notice how he’s couching himself as “uncertain” on gay marriage, that his views are “evolving.” Meanwhile, Biden takes the beanbag hit on being in support of gay marriage.

On NPR this morning they said that the majority of americans are in favor of homosexual marriage, but they finished up their report regarding it losing when brought to the voting booth. Basically they said one side is more passionate about it than the other.

Yeah. Go figure. People being polled have this, “sure, whatever” attitude and say it’s fine. But those who bother to vote have a little more understanding of the implications and vote it down.

One of the weaknesses of our system is that it gives people the ability to choose their candidate based on how many yard signs they see.

What’s amazing is that native-born North Carolinians are in the minority in that state now. My friends there are always complaining about the New Yawkers moving down to work in Research Triangle, Raleigh, Charlotte, etc. Also, a large warehouse business down there has welcomed a colony of Hmong people who were displaced during the Vietnam era, and there are plenty of Hispanic newcomers as well.

I guess this issue is just a non-starter at the election booth.

Older couples living together without marriage are likely to have legal and financial advisers who help them formalize their legal relationships by contract in a way that best suits their individual circumstances.

The libs will file a lawsuit, it will go through the courts and a lib judge will overturn the will of the people, just like in MA and CA. It no longer matters what the people want, the tyrannical liberals will cheat and lie to get their way.

Libnuts will use any scare tactic to impose their warped view on the world. In Texas, they tried to tell us that our marriage amendment would invalidate ALL marriages. LOL!!!

It passed by 76% anyway. Would have been more if the naive hadn't believed some of this bilge.

Hope so.

Incidentally, heard on the news that Caroline Kennedy is honoring three Iowa pro-gay judges, who were voted out of office, with "courage" awards for their courage.

FWIW....

I vote in a deep red precinct. At 7:30, I was voter #121. Lines were out the door.

I'll wait until the votes are counted, here, but I think that the Marriage Amendment passes, and Dems get a real slapdown.
