Correct. Guy in post #10 IS Sohale Siddiqi (also known as Hal Siddiqi). Obama met him in Calif when Hal visited the Chandoo brothers, and later contacted him when Obama moved to NY to go to Columbia. They roomed together.

Recall, this is the time when he and Ayers were attending college within 4 or 5 blocks of each other. Ayers at Bank Street College, Obama at Columbia College, an Undergrad part of Columbia University. Maybe Ayers turned him on to the gay thing? Not serious, but then again...
