Colonization of other planets inthe solar is not only an “option” it is mandatory if we wish to survive as a species!
Otherwise a rougue asteroid, supervolcano, deadly plague, Massive Solar Flare, etc etc.... could end our civilisation and we may never recover enough TO colonize after that. Not to mention that in one billion years the sun will get too hot anyways.....
WE HAVE TO COLONIZE THE SOLAR SYSTEM AND THEN THE STARS UIN ORDER TO SURVIVE AND ALLOW OTHER ANIMALS WE BRING WITH US TO SURVIVE AS WELL.
This is a non-negotiable statement and even if we have to strip mine th earth to do this, some species surviving the death of the sun is better than none.
The same people don't use the word "mankind", because in their thinking there is little about "man" that is "kind".
