Wife hits husband with SUV after argument over Wisconsin recalls (It has come to this)
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ^ | 05/09/2012 | By Jesse Garza

A Chippewa Falls man who repeatedly tried to block his estranged wife from driving to the polls Tuesday was hospitalized with head, neck and back injuries when she struck him with her sport utility vehicle.

Jeffrey Radle, a Gov. Scott Walker supporter, was on foot.

Amanda Radle, a recall proponent, was in a Dodge Durango.

The pair had been arguing early Tuesday afternoon over who she was going to vote for in the gubernatorial recall election primary, said Chippewa Falls Police Chief Wendy L. Stelter.

"She was planning on voting for a certain candidate, and it wasn't the candidate he wanted her to vote for," Stelter said.

When Amanda Radle, 30, attempted to pull out, Jeffrey Radle, 36, stood in front of her, according to a police department statement. She nudged him with the vehicle several times.

Each time he would "retreat and re-establish his ground," the release said. "At one point he climbed onto the hood."

When she finally attempted to drive around him, Jeffrey Radle jumped in front of the vehicle and was hit. Aman da Radle left the scene and went to the police department to report the incident, the release said.

"These crazy liberal nuts are always pulling this crap," said Radle's brother, Mike Radle, describing himself and his brother as firm supporters of Walker, the subject of the recall.

Mike Radle said his brother was in stable condition but had suffered serious injuries and was still unconscious Tuesday afternoon.

"He'll be in the hospital at least overnight," he said.

Stelter would not confirm whether Jeffrey Radle was still being treated.

Will she still be in jail on election day?

Maybe she can vote absentee.

Have we learned nothing from Hussein’s media’s war on America?

Why are we believing everything written in this article?

“Reason 5,286 why conservatives should not marry liberals.”

Reason 5,287 liberals should not be allowed to reproduce
at all. They have absolutely nothing to contribute to the
human gene pool.

Let’s not assume he was attempting completely to prevent her from voting.

Hitting him with a lethal weapon is attempted homicide. Do you seriously think that prolonging a marital argument over politics is grounds for killing a person, or disabling or maiming them for life?

She should be prosecuted to the max.

> How to explain this seemingly happy marriage...?

After two previous failed marriages, a failed "long-term domestic partnership," and with her biological clock running out, Matalin gave up trying to find a good man and settled for one with a pulse?

This whole article immediately reminded me of the scene in War Of The Roses where the wife gets into her truck and runs over hubby's beloved car. (Said hubby was not in the car at the time.)

I do wonder what might have happened, in this case, if the wife called a cab instead. Was taking the bus an option? (Liberals really like buses. And light rail.)

Good job.

We should ALWAYS ask ourselves WHY a particular news piece is written like it is, and what EMOTIONS the “author” is trying to promote.

The media is TOTALLY dishonest — NEVER FORGET!

Nope. Still his fault.

People have to take consequences for their actions.

In his case, the man was standing in front of an SUV driven by a woman determined to go somewhere, and refusing to move. Dropping the “stopping her from voting part” just makes the man d@mn stupid. If he had been blocking a door or something similar, he could have potentially been up on charges (after she tazed him and pepper sprayed him...).

Don’t have to believe everything in the article to come up with “Justified.”

Unless his wife was drunk or otherwise impaired, the man had no business trying to stop her.

That’s right.

Stand in front of a car to prevent its occupant from lawfully going about his business, get your foot run over, or whatever.

got no sympathy for fools, even Republican ones.

> In a sane world/country, maybe.

I mussed have missed the part of sanity’s definition where it means “I can prevent someone else form voting”.

Even if she’s a liberal idiot, he was the bigger idiot trying to stop her from exercising her right to vote.

I’m sure this will be used in the campaign as an example of Walker being a divider, not a uniter.

I NEVER suggested she shouldn’t be prosecuted, but the story seems to indicate he was trying to stop her from voting, which is flat-out wrong.

What, being a liberal voter doesn't automatically qualify as "impaired"? ;)

BTW, I agree with you. Just thought I'd chip in some humor.

did she accelerate or decelerate?

Why did she leave the scene? To block out any data recorder?

She is a liberal, by self definition she should call the police to bail her out.
