Just curious.. is Julia the ward of the state that he means when he says that he’s for ward?
Something tells me that it is not Ward Cleaver that he is referencing, but I'm sometimes wrong on these things.
Maybe he's got a secret man-crush on Ward (or the Beaver) and a longing for the simpler days of the 1950's...
