I am not surprised that he has flipped on the issue, (probably what he really believed from the start). However, the timing of the announcement is curious!
If I were gay (I'm not), I would be very teed off at Obama for waiting to make this announcement. If he'd done this before the election, it might've swung some votes.
He (dare I say it?) screwed the GLBT folks.
