Reminds me when I was in OCS at Benning in 1969 and we took part in a DSC, I think, ceremony for a ex-dog face being awarded it for action in Italy in 1944. We thought at the time, ‘that that was a quarter century before’. What possibly could’ve taken them so long?

I know what you mean. I was at Benning early in 1971 at NCO School and we attended a ceremony for a Korean War medal winner. I can’t remenber the details.
