That’s what the frogs voted for! Less employment. Firms and business will be pulling out in droves. Good job you bunch of lazy butter and wine swilling idiots.

Version as interpreted by business: [To encourage companies to announce pre-emptive layoffs,] French president-elect François Hollande aims to make it financially painful for healthy firms to fire workers and will “arm wrestle” big employers like General Motors to force them to take a more “moral” approach, a senior adviser said on Thursday.
To: ABQHispConservative
If there were still such a thing as corprate integrity, French workers would find burned-out factories and vacant corporate offices when they come to work Monday morning...

Easiest way I know to be a firm that doesn’t fire workers is to be a firm that doesn’t hire them in the first place.
Duh.
To: albie
If I can’t fire someone who’s an idiot,
I damn well am not going to hire anyone that doesn’t have an absolutely proven work record.

Large corporations are arms of government. That's the deal with the Devil they all made to get preferences and a privileged market position. It should come as no surprise now that governments are starting to exercise their right to control corporate HR operations.

Gosh, just make it illegal to fire people.
Betcha Obama wonders why he didn’t think of that.
To: eyedigress
Ah another TLA heard many times by many people in recent years. The verb version is “RIF’ed.”

Within 6 mos. Hollande will make it manditory to hire these “idiots,” and if they don’t will face stiff fines, that’s what socialism is all about, and like France, CA and the rest of the USA are in the lurching “Forward” in the same direction.
