Thank you, Jane Fonda, for the Feminist lecture.

You are welcome.

Your views are archaic. Women have been in the workforce for a long time. They have been intellectual equals forever. Of course you are still walking around with Eve’s guilt.

I actually feel sorry for you. You live your life with a restricted view of your abilities.

As a father of two daughters in the deteriorating world, I can tell you it’s possible to raise moral, beautiful, smart women who are able to make their own way in the world without being tied to a man.

Okay....then would care to share exactly why you think I’m a “gender bigot,” then? I mean, if it’s not because I’m pointing out the obvious fact that men are generally physically stronger than women, then it obviously has to stem from something else, eh?

A) Co-ed sports were a creation of Karl Marx and a tool of Communism;

That's ridiculous. Everyone knows it's caused by water fluoridation.

B)Women are too weak to ever compete and/or participate in co-ed athletics, even in an intramural or social league.

Given the overlap of bell curves, that's obviously not always true.

The fact that you beat up a girl one time is totally irrelevant not only to the two points I was referring to, but also to the article at hand which deals with a 15 year old female 2nd baseman.

Go tell your lame war stories elsewhere, because nobody gives a shit.

Well, some obviously do, even if you yourself don't, so maybe you should try speaking for yourself only, instead of everybody else?

Sorry, I have a bad habit of grabbing onto one particular FReeper post and expostulating broadly into other areas, since I'm not so much interested in addressing the actual post itself (and, honestly, your posts, in and of themselves, didn't merit much attention) but in using it as a launching pad to talk about something I want to talk about that struck me on the thread. That's what happened here, sorry if it confused you.

it is all about radical egalitarianism

Bingo !!!

God created men and women differently...made to compliment each other... biologically, emotional and spiritually.

Radical egalitarianism destroys that underlying concept...which undermines the concept of creation...and of a God

Bullshido stories like yours never merit much attention, although a bullshido artist bragging about getting the best of a girl is a new one. I suppose you think you're impressing people.

You remind me of a guy I used to work with who used to spew bullshido to anyone who would listen. He used to tell girls he was a Navy SEAL.

He never got laid either, so maybe I've helped identify your problem.

You're welcome.

Watch out buddy, I’m an Army SEAL and I was an Air Force sniper in ‘Nam, did my tour in ‘77-’78!

Seriously though, you are too stupid to even get the point to why I even told the story? Or are you just purposefully “not getting it” because your original “points” were unsustainable, and this is your way of distracting from that fact?

Who cares? The school has a set of rules and stuck to them. The quality of both teams in the league is so far inferior to the regular high school baseball leagues that this story is ridiculously stupid. How many girls play on varsity baseball teams in Arizona?

My son plays baseball, and his team did not have a field for practice one day. The coaches decided to ask the softball coaches if they would like to scrimmage on the softball field. The boys won. Of course. It was a slaughter. The girls were accustomed to winning by 20+ points against their regular opponents. The boys were not allowed to pitch. And they did not play their regular positions. But they all had fun.
