Obama's Vote of Confidence In Gay and Lesbian Families [Obama: Savior of Homosexuals?]

Obama's Vote of Confidence In Gay and Lesbian Families This was a moment I'd barely dreamed of: by his leadership, the president has empowered Americans to be their inclusive best

Hilary Rosen 11 May 2012

By now, the political implications of the president's public support for gay marriage have been analyzed from all angles by hundreds of pundits.

And while, of course, there are significant political ramifications from the president's ABC interview, I, for one, would like to focus on those who will be most affected by it: the loving gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered couples and their children who this week heard President Obama not just assert a policy position, but affirm their way of life – their very being.

That's partly why I was so moved by the president's announcement. He made it in the context of America's loving LGBT families: his friends, neighbors, staff members. Obama made a human announcement, not a political one.

I came out of the closet when I was 17 years old. And I was terrified: scared of what others would think, and convinced that it would be impossible for me to live a full and fulfilling life as a gay woman. I never dreamed then that, in my lifetime, a president would give me the hope, affirmation and validation that Obama gave to millions of LGBT kids and young adults on Wednesday.

His message was implicit but clear: gay and lesbian citizens not only deserve to be treated equally, but deserve their own fair shot at the "pursuit of happiness" – to lead successful, whole and affirmed lives. And in doing so, I am convinced that the president saved lives.

This is the same Hilary Rosen who made forty-two visits to the White House since Brak took office. Did anyone expect her to write anything else?

BTW, General Petraeus, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, has visited the White House six times since The One was immaculated.

Now, you are not trying to suggest that General Petraeus has as much to say to the President as Hilary Rosen, are you?

Hilary is so excited that the President has given her the hope & affirmation for her life style, that she never dared to expect.

This is, of course, the same airhead who lashed out at Mrs. Romney for being a good wife & mother, in the traditional American & Biblical senses. Apparently the Guardian considers her something of an authority on present day American culture.

Obviously, the Editor has the same critical judgment of the writers, he/she or it chooses to feature. Apparently, British journalism has fallen just as far as American journalism.

Don’t fall for the facade that homosexuals want to form families.

The point is to destroy the concept of families.

This is ahead of him coming out of the closet for the 2012 election. Breitbart must have had the goods for us to see in the future... The October surprise.

If you saw the neighbor girl out in the garden trying to mate with a cucumber, you’d scream and demand that she see a therapist. But, if she tries to mate with a rubber appliance held by another female, it’s OK? What will their offspring be?......a doorstop?

Interestingly, she looks all blinged out with jewelry that must have cost a pretty penny and the hair straightening she gets once or twice a month ain’t cheap. On top of that hair cuts for women are outrageously expensive.

It sucks to be poor in America.

When President Obama says, “I think same sex couples should be able to get married”, he displays a willfully fabricated ignorance of our Constitution. By ignoring the essence of marriage as a spiritual concept, and not a civil institution, he negates the Bill of Rights’ prohibition of government attacking religious freedom.

Classical Semitic theology emphasizes searching for and relating to an infinite God. Genesis tells of God responding by creating heterosexual marriage as the earthy manifestation of the absolute unity and love He seeks with each person. The Old Testament continuously addresses this subject by identifying God as masculine, and allowing humans to become feminine in relation to Him. The concept finds further emphasis in the New Testament where the church becomes the “Bride of Christ”

For tens of millions of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim believers their First Amendment rights decay as Obama redefines marriage. For these believers homosexual behavior resides among the myriad sins entrapping humanity; humanity living in a fallen world with a fallen nature. For them any subsequent theological reasoning must derive from the understanding homosexual relationships separate believers from God.

For Obama these people lack Constitutional protection and are guilty of at least cultural prejudice.

Agreed.

One point, the homoagenda isn’t about redefining marriage, it’s about UNdefining marriage and the destruction of the family.

Equality is such a wonderful thing. We all flow to the lowest gravitational point in the cultural waste water system.

Gays marrying the same sex is mocking marriage..
Marriage is not about sex it’s about children..
Giving legal recourse to children of both parents..

Gays cannot have kids.. together..
Those that do have performed a Queer medical experiment..

I know. I was being sarcastic too.
What is truly sad is that these people are actually trying to destroy the freest civilization on earth in the quest for affirmation of their deviant and abberant desires.
