We reached our first goal of raising $15,000 for the first phase of our "Tell the Truth" ad campaign - thank you! Dear Friends, . We accomplished an important goal in the defense of Gov. Scott Walker and his conservative state reforms.  With the election just 25 days away, it was just in time.  Thanks to countless numbers of individual donors like yourself, we are now working hard to put the finishing touches on our first "Tell the Truth" ad that highlights the fiscal successes that Gov. Walker has achieved in his short time in office. . . We are making it our priority to highlight the successes of Gov. Walker's reforms and make the world aware that the unions and liberal left are attacking him with lies  . We ask for your continued support to help us fund our efforts to defeat the RECALL!  It is now or never  - there are only 25 days left until Gov. Walker's fate is decided . Early next week, we will be debuting our "Tell the Truth" TV ad that will defend Gov. Walker against the lies and distortions being thrown out him.    We are in the middle of the fight of our lives in our battle against the union bosses and liberal left in the RECALL.  The union political machine, as always, is well funded and has promised to spend upwards of $60 million against our side.    Our side does not have the luxury the unions do, nor should it, of taking millions of dollars out of working folks paychecks to fund our campaign.  The Tea Party Express is supported by everyday Americans like you who care enough about our great nation and are concerned with its direction! . We have been making the point that the Recall of Governor Walker in Wisconsin is the first major election of 2012 and the winner will take tremendous momentum into the fight for the White House.  The lines have been drawn and it is the union bosses and liberal left vs. conservatives and the Tea Party supporters. . This election is not only a fight for Wisconsin. It's a fight for our conservative values nationwide. A win on June 5th will be a referendum on those trying to stifle the voice of the people and hand power back to the big-government public union bosses that want nothing more than complete control of a state’s budget.

Money bombs away, thanks for keeping us in the know while we're away. The State of Wisconsin's Anthem comes to us from the Civil War. It's called 'On Wisconsin, many football fans will remember it from the Badgers many football titles and bowl games. However, very few of those fans will discover the nightmarish context from which the song 'On Wisconsin' was born.

In 1860, Wisconsin and Illinois were part of the western border of the United States. Known as the most rugged and capable soldiers in the Union Army, many of these soldiers were outdoorsmen already proficient in the use of firearms and experienced horsemen.

Once they were trained in military drill, these men always held their ground in spite of their circumstances. Recent immigrants of good German, Irish and Scottish stock, they made formidable opponents for the rebel armies of Robert E. Lee. The Wisconsin brigades went into battle with typical Union battle flags and a unique symbol of liberty, uniquely their own; a bald eagle tethered to a small perch that was held aloft by enormous specially trained soldiers.

Depending upon the story you like best, this huge bird was found by a group of Wisconsin soldiers as they were training to become soldiers in the Union Army. 'Old Abe' became the Wisconsin Brigade's official mascot.

These were the dark early days of the conflict when Union leadership was continually broken. Bobby Lee, Stonewall Jackson and the Confederacy were rolling up tactical victory after victory. The enormous Union Army, was primarily made up of the Grand Army of the Potomac. At every occasion of battle, the Wisconsin soldier's were led by "Old Abe' sitting on his perch right next to 'Old Glory'

When the fighting grew increasingly intense, Union officers could point at the big bird and chide their men for their having less bravery than that 'old black bird'

Even after his broken wing had mended the soldier's wouldn't part with their old friend, 'Old Abe'. Sometime after the Battle of Gettysburg, the big bird expired from shock, or battlefield injuries. From that point forward until the end of the war in 1865, 'Old Abe's body was wired to his perch. Everyone behaved as if the old bird was alive.

Go to your city, or village, hall and apply for an absentee ballot. I do not know if they are ready yet, but you can put in an application and they will mail you one when they are ready. Be careful about filling out the envelope. You must have somebody sign that they witnessed you filling out the ballot. If you don’t have all the blanks filled in they won’t count your vote.

If you wait until your town hall has the ballots ready, you can vote right there. You can also register right there, if you are not already registered, as long as you’ve lived here 28 days.

Here's an update:

The Washington Post just reported that a day after Wisconsin Democrats aired their frustrations with the Democratic National Party for not providing substantial financial support to the senseless RECALL, the Democratic Governors Association has announced that they will be pouring in another $700,000.  The money has been designated to fund an advertising campaign to smear the name of the conservative Gov. Scott Walker.

With just 19 DAYS until the Recall vote and poll numbers still very close and fluid, we need to match their support at every turn and defend Gov Walker and the conservative Tea Party principles that he is being attacked on..
