It is certainly complex over there, but there is tendency for people to view Russia and Putin as inherently evil and anti-US, while viewing Georgia as a breakaway angel of a republic. The truth is somewhere in the middle. I don’t think for a second that Putin “likes” anything of the Islamic religion of terror. He has struck multiple times against it - and each time he does - there are those who try to weave some type of conspiracy theory behind his actions. The guy has a sorted past, to be sure. What he represents as Russia’s leader in 2012 is certainly leaps and bounds in improvement over any other leader of Russia with the notable exception of Gorbachev. And it was only thanks to Reagan that Gorby did a 180.
You mean while Russia supported Muslim seperatists in Georgia and used them as part of the reason to invade Georgia?
