TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida officials are now saying that nearly 200,000 registered voters may not be U.S. citizens.

Earlier in the week, state election officials announced they had identified more than 2,600 people who are in Florida legally but ineligible to vote.

Fine, now purge the voter rolls and use ID.

Now, how about all those retired liberals from NY that still vote in both states? Suspect the numbers are easily up to the illegals.

The state is taking the matches using other databases to try to confirm if the voter is not a U.S. citizen. Florida has asked for access to a federal database maintained by the Department of Homeland Security but so far the U.S. government has turned the state down.

That was just 56,000!

The way to catch the out of staters is to run Move Update and see if there's a forwarding order on file for them.

BTW, I'm surprise at 200,000 but if true it's time to bust some heads ~

This is amazing. So who says we don’t need voter ID? The important thing is what is Fl going to do about it? Are they going to be aggressive in getting it cleaned up>

No, it took more than 200 years. This nation, much like its Commander in Chief, is "evolving".

“State officials said they did not know yet if any of the people on the list voted illegally in past elections”

And they said this with a straight face.

How long will it take for them to figure out the guy in the white hut is not a citizen?

It would be even more interesting to see what counties had the greatest number of illegals. Anyone want to take any bets?

"nearly 200,000 registered voters may not be U.S. citizens. "

Registered Democrats, of course.

What the ? . . this could be the election! If you're not a citizen, you don't vote. Voter ID is such a duh. . should be the standard in every state.

“this could be the election! “

You are right, as long as Holder doesn’t file suit against Fl for discrimination.

The AP seems uninterested in finding that out? They know the people are registered, but they don't want to know which party is favored by the illegal voters?

No wonder Al Gore thought he was the winner in 2000. With so many illegal voters, he was sure that there must have been a mistake when he didn’t win Florida.

It has always been known that the only reason that Gore was even close in Florida was because of illegal voters, including thousands of felons.

...so far the U.S. government has turned the state down.

It's time to turn up the heat way high, and make it required that to vote in the state, on must be domiciled there and nowhere else, be registered in one and only one Election District there no later than (30 days?) before the polls open, and be able to be identified by the clerk or inspector by verifiable ID (at least the same signature used for registration).

This is the way it used to be done.

To whom can we individually turn to? To a state senator or representative/assemblyman? One's party committee? one's Congressman or Senators? Who is going to coordinate out a mass protest against unlawful voting in a state? Across the country?

It does no good to complain about it if there is no mechanism to bring one verifiable voter/one vote back into play.
