The only recognition that the queers deserve is that they are a stink in God’s nostrils and society at large.

Support? Or tolerate. There’s a big difference.

Gay Marriage has FAILED, and FAILED BIG, in every single state it has been voted on. If everybody is “For” it, how can this be???

Some of it is due to the fact younger people/independents etc who poll "yes" for it don't vote and people who vote "against" are generally older and conservative. People get more conservative as they get older or realize they are being fleeced by the gov't.

Support? Or tolerate. There’s a big difference.

The tolerate part of that is going down the more audacious these pervs get at bullying their agenda on the other 98% of the country. NC just voted and 61% said NO, which lines up with this poll 62% oppose homo marriage (even though its headlined with CU support). The downward trend is in the "support" for both, so even tolerance is waning. Many people who have not been paying particular attention to this are starting to, and they are speaking with their votes.

Marriage is becoming obsolete, 4 in 10 say

Read more: http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2010/11/18/20101118marriage-study.html#ixzz1urU3tjeV

Marriage as we have always known it probably won’t exist in another 20 years.

WASHINGTON — Unmarried mothers gave birth to 4 out of every 10 babies born in the United States in 2007, a share that is increasing rapidly both here and abroad, according to government figures released Wednesday.

Before 1970, most unmarried mothers were teenagers. But in recent years the birthrate among unmarried women in their 20s and 30s has soared — rising 34 percent since 2002, for example, in women ages 30 to 34. In 2007, women in their 20s had 60 percent of all babies born out of wedlock, teenagers had 23 percent and women 30 and older had 17 percent.

Much of the increase in unmarried births has occurred among parents who are living together but are not married, cohabitation arrangements that tend to be less stable than marriages, studies show.

And this was three years ago. I assume it has gotten worse. Marriage with children used to be the bedrock of our society. No longer.

The divorce rate has supposedly gone down because fewer people are marrying.

I fear the unraveling of American society will continue.

How do they dissolve a civil union? Are civil unions available to heterosexual couples? What about close relatives? Can I have a civil union with a friend to get on her health insurance? If civil unions are “just as good” as marriage, why marry? It is all so confusing!

I think this is a big win for Obama. Americans don't like their personal lives being legislated.

I think the gay marriage issue is just another attempt to degrade the culture. I have no particular problem with civil unions, but marriage is a wall that shouldn’t be torn down, and that is exactly what this attempt is, an attempt to tear down a cultural wall of longstanding.

If it goes down, it’s only a matter of time before the wall goes down (already down in some other cultures) dictating that marriage should involve only two people, and we’ll get polygamy legalized.

Ultimately the Man-Boy love crowd (of which there aren’t many perhaps, but who are the most radical of the bunch) will attack the concept of prohibiting minors from marrying adults, and then you’ll have cultural chaos, exactly as intended.

I’d like to think the liberal press and Hollywood are just dupes in all this, but their complicity is too obvious to draw that conclusion. We are never going to see a mainstream television series that portrays the Man-Boy Love crowd for the degenerates that they are, for example. And we are never going to get a TV series that puts the threatening actions of the gay activists on full display either, nor a balanced report in the MSM detailing the despicable tactics directed at those with whom they disagree.

Leave the decision to the States. We know which ones will legalize gay marriage anyway, since their fiscal policies are as bankrupt as their cultural policies. The farther left those states go, the less the likelihood that the rest of us will consent to bailing them out when they hit their financial Armageddon.

Homosexuality is a disease. They know this to be true just as we always have known it. What this really is about is the homosexuals engaged in an aggenda to be accepted and seen as normal. They have to understand that they will never be normal. It is a disease with no cure.

There are layers to “what this is really about”.
The homos want acceptance of their mental illness as “normal”.

The left wants to use the homos as a weapon in the war on traditional/Christian values and the family as a concept.

Americans don't like their personal lives being legislated.

This is not about legislating personal lives, its about the coordinated effort of a group of people (2% of the population), whose identity is defined by unnatural, unhealthy and perverted sexual acts, to force the government to endow them with rights and privileges based on that "identity".

I agree with you. I was just vocalizing how it will be spun from the Obama camp. My experience is that Americans are increasingly rejecting candidates who focus on social conservative issues. Social conservatism is going the way of the dinosaur. The moderate voter is being lead to believe that social conservatives are “scary”.

Ah, okay - you forgot the /s tag, which was not self-evident.

I think the issue with what is referred to as "social conservatism" is exactly that - the way that certain Constitutional issues have been dismissed as "social". This enables those pushing any number of socialist agendas to write off opposition to legitimate Constitutional encroachment/threats as "social issues".

They’re not reporting on reality, they’re attempting to create it.

In any case, nature is what nature is, no matter what anyone thinks about it.

And in more than thirty states, when the question has been put to the people, they have overwhelmingly supported real marriage. Even in states that are supposedly heavily liberal.

I know one gay couple and they truely want “marriage” for gays...they are not the typical gays who parade up and down the streets. They are for Obama all the way. They are both independently wealthy so I don't know their insurance and financial situation.

Yes to “civil unions” but no to “marriage”? Sorry, it’s a buy-one-get-one-free deal.

This sort of “I’ll accept this but not that” myopia is why Aristotle said the young should stay out of politics.

Homosexual behavior was declared abhorrent to the Lord in the LAW of God. Yes, in the Old Testament; but repeated in the New Testament by Paul clearly in the book of Romans. - Christ was not quoted on the matter, but He kept the WHOLE LAW perfectly in order to be qualified to be our substitution on the cross.

I would that no one indulge in homosexual behavior; but I know I cannot tell those so inclined what to do. They aren’t getting anywhere changing man’s laws in many of the states. They certainly aren’t getting anywhere trying to change God’s laws ANYWHERE as far as the Lord is concerned.
