Either on the 22nd of this month, or on the 29th when Texas votes, Romney will clear the 1,144 delegate count threshold and have the delegates to assure his nomination.
I was for Sarah 1st, then Cain, the Santorum, and then Newt. I do not trust Romney's liberal record from a "purest" conservative standpoint.
But when I look at the issues/platform he has established to run on and been committing to these last many months, it is a good platform, and something we can hold him to as opposed to the wretched Obama who is promising more "fundamental change" and destruction to America...in fact, he will double down on it in a second term.
That makes my choice in the contest between Obama and Romney clear.
In order to defeat Obama, which we desperately need, Romney will have to continue gaining support, all over the country.
With Obama actions as President, ongoing as they are towards the far left, I believe Romney will...and I hope it is so.
This isn’t about Romney, this is about the guy far to the left of all of them on Article 2 issues. Paul isn’t just a RINO, he is completely unacceptable as Commander in Chief to our troops.
Not that it much matters, given that CA seems bent on self-destruction anyway, but our primary election also has NO impact on the primary. The two largest states are again denied a voice in the primary selection process.
None of these guys are farther left than romney.
I fudge romney by his actions and his actions as governor have been entirely one sided... Socialist side that is.
Have fun choking down Robomney-care.
Obviously the plurality of Republican voters are stupid, uninformed and gullible. Look at the presumptive nominee.
Of course this also holds for American voters in general. We have the government we deserve.

Even if romney wins the general (he wont), he will govern like the socialist he is, and the republicans in the congress will support him. they may yell a little to save face back home, but they will go along...

If Obama is elected there is no doubt, and there is no chance for a good outcome of what he will do to America..
If Romney is elected there is some chance...and I believe it a very good one. You of course appear to believe Rommney is virtually the same as Obama and I believe that is just as wrong headed as it can be.
We’re not going to get it all back at once. We are going to have to scratch and claw our way back, taking the positives we can gain, while ensuring we do all in our power to mitigate any negatives. A conservative congress which we must elect in either case, will help do that.
