I spent a year in-country (including during the Tet Offensive) and another 8 months off the coast. What is most infuriating is the revisionist history that has become almost accepted fact by too many. It is a sad commentary on our education system more than anything else.

Yo Dude, you worked through Tet? God Bless You and the Bros you lost.

Most lied about event of the century.

The commies shot their wad for real, the VC as a fighting force was DECIMATED. (The NVA had hoped for that outcome.) Our people were marvelous. Even our MPs, who WERE NOT infantry, took the fight to an extreme that scared the NVA and VC sh!tless.

Tet was a TOTAL FAILURE for the north, and at the end of it, we had Hanoi by the b@lls.

But, ask anyone here, and the Tet offensive was a total defeat FOR US!?!

Walter Cronkite was a pinko pig in disguise. Lefties cannot ever, ever, ever, admit that we succeeded beyond belief.

A sad time, and made all the more infuriating because of the lies and propaganda.

Peace man.
