The problem, as I see it, relates to this idea that whites are alone in voting on the right. Apparently whites have a monopoly on conservatism, and we’re fighting an uphill, into-the-wind battle.

I don’t believe that.

Not all whites are conservative.
But the overwhelming majority of conservatives are white.

There is a Pollyann-ish cohort of conservatives who believe that anyone and everyone will “embrace conservatism” — if only they can be shown conservative principles, they will logically see such principles as superior and will choose them over liberalism.

Such beliefs are fantasies. They will not happen.
When will we wake up?

53% of Hispanics self-describe themselves as white. Hispanics can be of any race.

We have to promote our shared values with Hispanics and Asians. Many Hispanics and Asians believe in a strong work ethic, respect for the law and respect for the family. The Democrats are totally against these core values yet they play racial politics. What the Democrats do is to plant this suggestion in people's mind that Republicans don't like them and of course the Hispanics and Asians have a history of voting for Democrats as most immigrants do. But I think that the Republicans have to drive home these three basic values; work ethic, respect for the law and respect for the family. If Republicans were smart they would put up billboards in these ethnic neighborhoods outlining these three basic principles. Just the fact of having Republican billboards in these neighborhoods would show that Republicans have respect for the opinions of Hispanics and Asians which would go a long way.

HARD WORK, FAMILY, RESPECT FOR THE LAW This, I think would make a good slogan that sums up conservative values which we have in common with many Hispanics and Asians.
