blacks are really po’d about the homos equating homosexuality with minority/race status. About a week ago I heard a Conservative make this point on NPR. He said (paraphrasing), "If you go back a few decades, you had blacks who had to ride in the back of the bus. You had lynchings. It was a terrible time. Gays are not dealing with that at all."
The host breathlessly said, "You really think so? Will we see that level of violence directed at gays??"
The Conservative was completely flummoxed but finally managed to blurt out, "I didn't say anything like that!"
