That church is at the end of Turnbull Canyon Road, a famous road racing spot through the hills north of Whittier. A lot of make-out spots up there, too.

Any truth to the rumor that there was some kind of haunted gully up there on the west side of the Turnbull Canyon Road a couple of turns below Skyline drive?

We lived in Avocado Heights for a couple of years and went to St. John Vianney sometimes.

I learned to drive on Turnbull Canyon back in the middle fifties. Our Drivers Ed teacher loved scare us to death.

Makes me homesick,Memphis, Tn. has no winding roads or hills.
