Robert F. Kennedy Jr.s estranged wife, Mary, who battled her husbands rumored philandering by turning to alcohol and prescription drugs, hanged herself in a barn on their Westchester estate yesterday, sources told The Post.
The 52-year-old mother of four the latest victim of a family dynasty cursed with tragedies may have taken her own life because she was haunted by her broken marriage, her friends lamented.
She was deeply troubled, abusing alcohol and prescription meds, a close family friend said. She had cause. She was used up and tossed away by Bobby. That was awful.

Another Kennedy that won’t be getting into Heaven.
There should be a PSA that warns:
Don’t drink and drive.
Don’t smoke.
Don’t marry a Kennedy............
Liberalism has its failings...
Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be Kennedy wives.
Skull and cross bones should be on the front door to the Kennedy Compound...
“Desperate Kennedy Wives”
If memeory serves, she was dating Bobby while he was married to his first wife.
Karma...maybe.
Family curse...not so much as simply a family mired in immorality.
I would rather have my daughter marry a musician than marry a Kennedy.
Any reason to believe this was convenient for anyone?
I said it yesterday, “The Kennedys - Proof that Karma is a bitch.”
I think God has room in heaven for the desparate, the hopeless, the human.....
A Kennedy trademark.
She was screwing him while he was married to the first wife, then was shocked and hurt when he screwed around on her? What an idiot
You really have to be in some deep trouble to hang yourself. Women don’t hang themselves....they take pills.
I feel so sorry for this woman to have been in such sad shape to do this to herself.
Philandering husband a Kennedy? Where have we heard that before?
It’s time that America shed the fairy tale of Camelot. They were/are the original Clintons.
She did get pregnant while he was still married to his first wife. She should have been preparing for the same results with her marriage.
Indeed. Hanging isn’t the usual suicide of choice by a woman.
Depression is a cruel adversary.
I’m sure she thought she could change him.
The Kennedy's seem to kick all their women to the curb.
She married the scum bag one month after his divorce from his first wife. She also grew up with the Kennedy family, it’s not like she didn’t know what she was getting. RIP anyway you poor pitiful soul.
ex-wife
So very, very true. Can take the mind to some incredibly dark places...
The Kennedys - Waging a war on women since 1930.
Anyone (especially a girl) who is thinking of marrying into that family needs to get their head examined.
The Kennedys are self-centered Narcissists The family is not cursed.
Rest in Peace.
thank you cherry.....I agree
Our Lord is a forgiving God, I’m sure she was welcomed to her Heavenly home...
Peace and comfort for HER children...
women, even depraved home wreckers like she was, don’t hang themselves.
Marrying into the Kennedys has consequences...
I hope so
Mothers Day was Sunday, at least she waited a couple of days...
apparently the big D was never finalized
She sure had a strange way of showing it.
She had a mansion and maids and she did not have to work. Her ugly husband was out of the house. I would party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’re looking for a conspiracy?
Honestly, I doubt it. When Joe Sr. was alive, I would believe it. That wad not a nice man.
I doubt the younger generation would have the brains to pull off a murder and make it look like suicide. They also don’t have the ambition.
Used up and tossed away by Bobby?
Um, when she was able to break free from the dastardly family by divorcing Bobby, why didn’t she run without looking back?
Money? No amount would compare with the freedom of leaving the toxicity of the Kennedys.
This is family that has serious issues due to the way they were raised, starting with Joe Sr.
That said, she was an addict, depressed and probably codependent as h*ll. Had she sought some intensive therapy, she may be alive today...or not.
“Mary said she was facing financial ruin, with American Express coming after her hard for an outstanding debt, along with several other creditors.”
Evil banks, Mitt, GWB, or the Republican’s War On Women will be blamed.
Oh, they were still married and merely “estranged”? If so, SHE might have filed for divorce and kicked his sorry arse to the curb.
I’ll take Unseemly Kennedy Deaths for $2000, Alex.
I have no doubt that she will be judged perfectly, and in its perfection, that judgment will be far beyond any of our comprehension.
Do God's work, not His job.
“Youre looking for a conspiracy?”
No, I simply mistrust and disbelieve EVERYTHING reported by Big Media, especially when it has anything at all, even tangentially, to do with politics.
Well, at least there’s an hypothetical chance that some musician, somewhere, isn’t a drug addicted, wife beating creep.
A good friend of mine hanged himself back in 1980. He was a very heavy drinker and did it to get attention from the girl he was living with. She was going out with another guy. He downed a bottle of Southern Comfort beforehand. I’ll bet her blood will show an extremely high alcohol and drug content.
“I would rather have my daughter marry a musician than marry a Kennedy.”
What do you call an unmarried musician?
Homeless.
Even if they are a drug-addicted, wife beating creep, it still beats a Kennedy.
I am with you on this one. All (in and related to that family) are selfish egotisitic no-good-doers, always use OTHERS’ money for them smart people to distribute as they see fit.
The image of their ‘fighting for injustice and the poor’ is just that, they only use ‘those beneath them’ to further their image. They don’t really CARE for thoes they champion.
