It’s not a 260M tax hike...it’s 260M PLUS the increased county taxes where you live to cover the shift of the teacher pension costs.
Basically the legislature just enabled O’Malley’s theft of previously paid tax dollars that was supposed to go to teacher’s pensions.
It’s more than that. I remember reading that part of this tax hike is to replenish the state’s transportation “trust” fund which had been emptied not for transportation projects, but for general government services.
