The words “California emissions controls” says it all.

California drives up the costs of cars for all.

Right, you have the hand full of states who set policy in Washington D.C. because allegedly California has one of the Largest Tax bases in the country, and a Large population, so its electoral power trumps many other states.

This is what the Founders Feared most, large states dependent on the Federal Government dominating the Smaller ones. Democrat controlled and voting super states, California, New York, squishy Florida, and Mexican-Coup Texas, gang up and permanently prevent the Opposition from gaining control of the government, those people would in effect, be Taxed without being Represented.

This is also similar to the balance of Slave and Free States.

The Slave states had a Majority or Status Quo for the first 80 years of our Nation. That is the reason behind the War between Kansas and Missouri, because the Anti-Slave forces could then take the Presidency without needing to win any of the Slave states.

If this doesn't stop, there won't be any Swing states, only the solid Democrat will have enough without any say from Non-Democrat ones.
