If moccasin were on the other foot...

You can almost feel sorry for the moonbat community of Massachusetts as they contemplate the rubble of the Elizabeth Warren campaign.

They thought they were putting up a modern-day Joan of Arc.

Instead, it turns out they’ve found the Rosie Ruiz of politics.

Of course they’re conceding nothing — any day now, the Globe will be publishing an editorial exhorting the voters to elect her as the first female Native American member of the U.S. Senate.

But aren’t the rich Trustafarians who want to pretend there’s no story here the very same liberals who supposedly believe so fervently in affirmative action? Remember the outrage over that kid from Delaware who faked his academic credentials to get into Harvard? The pointy-heads who can’t park a bicycle straight were so outraged they had him thrown into the Billerica House of Correction. Yet when some Mexican illegal did the same thing, the Politically Correct had demonstrations for him in Harvard Yard.

I understand the new reality. White American bad, illegal alien good. But dammit, Granny Warren isn’t a Mexican, although she does have a recipe for Mexican oatmeal soup, which I guess by her standards makes her at least 1/32nd Mexican.

The Beautiful People call illegal aliens “undocumented workers.” Granny Warren is an undocumented Indian.

A few nights ago, a local Republican appeared on TV with a Democrat to discuss the Warren scandal. The GOP pol asked the obvious question, “What would happen to a Republican who did this?”

To which the Democrat responded, “But she’s not a Republican.”

Exactly. Remember the pre-2009 chant: “Bush lied, people died.”

Now it is, or should be: “Granny lied, and got a set-aside.”

The moonbats always bristle when it’s suggested that sometimes the racial spoils system results in harder-working, more qualified individuals being passed over for jobs. The elites invariably dismiss this argument as racism. Yet now, whenever Granny’s campaign is asked whether she played the race card to get her career off the launching pad, they huffily say, “She worked hard.”

So it couldn’t have been affirmative action because ... she worked hard? Exactly how is that different from what Republicans say? Oh yeah, I forgot, she’s a Democrat.

Still, this is great fun, watching Harvard, the Democrats and the insufferably smug pseudo-squaw twisting slowly, slowly in the wind.

And the jokes — somebody on the Internet yesterday asked whether she had a recipe for a dessert. You know, like, “Occu-pie.”

And “Macaroni and Cochise.”

My granddaughter thought I was part Indian until she was about 15...just because we built a lot of teepees and I made her moccasins.

:-) She was about 3. We were sitting in the teepee on the "microfiber" deerskin. Asked her what she wanted for lunch. PIZZA !!!

Pssst...I'm almost 70...and am wearing moccasins.

Grand daughters are extra special. One of mine came home from kindergarten one day and told me that a boy had kissed her. Wanting to be neutral in this, I said something like, "well, that's interesting". She paused and then said, "are you going to beat him up"?

For those of you *not* from Massachusetts “Rosie Ruiz” is a famous name around here....some years ago she won the women's Boston Marathon (a big event around here) only to have it discovered a day or two later that she completed the most difficult part of the race by talking the MBTA (our regional public transit system).

The Green Line. She was busted because of the tokens jingling in her shorts.

I remeber the WTF look on the face of the real winner when she crossed to finish line to see Rosie get the laurel crown.

She cheated a true minority out of an opportunity.

I’d beat that drum in the campaign against her.

Liz Warren is the best thing to happen to political comedy in a long, long time.

In the perverse, Orwellian world of American decadence, truth and reality are dispised.

You do know that Iron Eyes Cody, the iconic “Indian” in your photo was actually a Sicilian? From Wikipedia:
“Cody was born as Espera Oscar de Corti in Kaplan, Louisiana, a second son of Antonio de Corti and his wife, Francesca Salpietra, immigrants from Sicily”

I do genealogy and found two Indian ancestors, way way back. I have no documentation and would never claim to be Cherokee (one of them) or Eastern Chesapeake Indian (the other one) but found it fun and interesting. My kids were thrilled.

We grew up thinking we were related to Stephen Foster. I did some research about 20 years ago and found out that we were actually related to a neighbor of Stephen Foster’s. Really! I’m almost glad my mother didn’t live to find out.

Of course there’s no vouching for Foster’s father and the neighbor lady, so maybe...

didn't Rosie get caught in the NY marathon?

Both. She was caught in Boston in 1980, and New York figured out that her 1979 run, which she'd been credited for finishing, had been a subway sprint as well. What's extra special is that, to make up for Rosie's fakery, Boston resorted to more fakery. (Seems to be a habit in that town.) Because Rosie had been given a medal for winning Boston, they flew the real female winner back, staged a faux crowd scene at a faux finish-line and gave her a bigger medal than Rosie's—one that was the same size as the (larger) men's prize.

And don't forget: At the time, Rosie's win was considered a special and wonderful achievement because she had a Spanish name. It was touted as a wonderful affirmative-action moment. If not for the sharp elbows of the real female runners, they never would have caught her.

And in a sense, Rosie's legacy of marathon affirmative action lives on. They kept the boosted size for the women's prize. So, thanks to Rosie Ruiz, the prize the first man to cross the finish line gets is still the same size as the prize that goes to the first woman to cross—for running at a pace about 20 minutes slower.

Someone posted hilarious side by side pictures of Liz Warren and George Zimmerman on another thread with the titles "Native American" and "White Hispanic" respectively.

It was a great graphic to ridicule the liberal mindset.

My last name is very popular among the Nez Perce Tribe so I contacted one. He said they had to take the name so they could get on the reservation after being driven out of Canada. They took it from the Sheriff of Boise. He was assassinated by Southern sympathizers for leading the first post Civil War 4th of July Parade. Needles to say, I get no Slot Machines.
