Gathering as I do that your other name is not Benedict XVI, I am skeptical as to how you may have acquired the credentials to speak for God.

Those would be the words of the Epistle of St. James the Greater, an Apostle, one of the original Catholics, called by Jesus Christ Himself, a priest, a bishop, martyred at Jerusalem, and whose quite Scriptural Epistle was derided by that old Sola Scriptura Reformer as "an epistle of straw not fit for..." After all, the Great Reformer noticed that the Apostle James apparently disagreed with the nonexistent teaching magisterium or some other hallucinations of...., who else, the Great Reformer. My Church claims not that it wrote the Epistle of James but that James the Greater wrote it and, more accurately, that God wrote it using James as his scrivener.

I take it that you have some authority for your eccentric interpretation of James 2: 10-11??? I didn't think so. No one died and left you my theologian and a good thing too.

Next, hold onto your seat. I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. You may now applaud. This blazing insight did not require an altar call or anyone without apparent authority to say "come on down." It required only the common sense available to any Christian. If Jesus Christ is not my personal Lord and Savior, I cannot imagine who would be. That is an alternative too silly to contemplate.

Regardless of anything you may imagine, I still and to my dying breath will continue to understand that salvation is a matter of using Woody Hayes' Ohio State football strategy: three yards and a cloud of dust until it is time to go home at the end of my life. Like most (indeed all) Catholics with any reasonable degree of catechesis, I do not believe that salvation is achieved through works and I challenge you to show one example of any time when I have said otherwise here. I emphatically do NOT believe that the work of repeating the ritual words of "accepting Jesus Christ" etc. are an eternal get out of hell free card. Nor do I believe that someone who does that ritual but later turns out to be a rape-murderer or abortionist or a "gay" husband of a "gay" husband after the fact of "acceptance," just MUST not have been sincere in that work of acceptance. etc.

If you feel personally offended by any part of this post, I would remind you that, as a pro-life attorney, I represented plenty of evangelicals before criminal courts when they were kidnapped by police for the alleged "crime" of going right into the abortion mills, occupying the killing rooms, de-sterilizing the instruments, pouring raw eggs into the suction machines rendering them even greater public health threats than just to the babies they were designed to dismember and kill. Not only did I represent them and Catholics and some folks of no faith at all, but I took the trouble to interview each one (there were 1,100) at length so that I could represent each individual to the court, according to his or her beliefs rather than my own.

I have no resentment of most forms of Christianity, particularly that of Evangelicals, Evangelical Free Church, Missouri Synod Lutherans, Wisconsin Evangelical Synod Lutherans (even though they apparently believe the pope to be ex officio the AntiChrist). Southern Baptists and many others. What I DO resent is being nanny-nagged by people not Catholic as though they have some sort of "teaching authority" over us poor benighted ignorant Catholics. If I felt a need for your theological opinions, I 2would be sure to ask. A practical tip: Don't hold your breath waiting.

I won't speak for other Catholics, but I will say that, as for me, I have no reason and no intention to go running around on my knees before the reformed, pleading forgiveness for breathing. If I were that sort, I would have no business being here.

Also note that I have no problem supporting Tom Hoefling, my reformed brother in Christ for POTUS rather than the major party heathens. For the sensitive, that means neither Romney's Mormonism nor Obozo's apparent Congregationalism. They are heathens, regardless of denomination, for killing babies, persecuting my Church and thereby threatening yours too whatever it may be, supporting "gay" everything, being gun grabbers, etc., NO LESS!!!

In light of the foregoing, the rest of your post is incomprehensible gibberish. If that makes me somehow intolerant, have at it but that is what I believe and I ain't changing. This is a no Kumbaya zone.

I mentioned you and should have pinged you. God bless.

Your textured Catholic friend who really gets worn out with nanny nags.

Gathering as I do that your other name is not Benedict XVI, I am skeptical as to how you may have acquired the credentials to speak for God.

1 Peter 4:11  (NIV)

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Matthew 10:16-20

16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues. 18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

2 Corinthians 13:1-3

This will be my third visit to you. “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others, since you are demanding proof that
Christ is speaking through me.
