Honestly, I think he did move to Singapore to avoid the taxes. For the past 3 years he was no doubt earning alot so instead of going back to Brazil, why did he pick Singapore? Singapore have very low taxes

Honestly, I think he did move to Singapore to avoid the taxes.

Well, that's because he's a peasant.

Now, if you're Merkun Royalty, like Charlie Rangel, you just stay in New York and EVADE the taxes. If they catch you, you'll get a slap on the wrist, and Boner will still come to your official Congressional portrait unveiling.

What about folks leaving California or New York for states that don’t have an income tax? Is changing states to avoid taxes “outrageous”?

In the future, will California and New York tax ex-residents? Folks are already starting to bail from California, which is a fiscal mess.

It is idiots like this in Congress that plainly illustrates why the GOP can’t get anywhere and basically loses every issue.

What did the US actually ever do for Facebook except legally confiscate money from it? Seriously!?!

Boner needs to go. But I have been saying that/since the day he cried at becoming Speaker and did his”You really like me!” Speech.

I will not be surprised in the not-so-distant future when the Feds deny wealthy people the right to leave the country and renounce their citizenship.

Currency controls are already underway. It's been done incrementally up to now. That will be changing soon.

Like just about everyone in DC, Boner thinks that Saverin, or anyone else that wishes to keep some of the fruits of their OWN LABOR, is stealing from him.

This illustrates perfectly the fact that Republicans as well as Democrats think the people are here to serve the government.

Collectivism at its finest.

In that same light, we should have a heavy tax, with no tax deductions for political activity, for billionaires since they are begging for higher taxes. They can spend as much as they have remaining to buy Boner and Pelosi.

I don’t know, I am a layman when it comes to formal Constitutional Law. I just know what I read there, and it says bills of attainder are forbidden. From what I can read and understand about what bills of attainder are, it seems that they are laws targeting specific individuals. I guess that means you could call them by name, or describe their circumstances so specifically (e.g., someone who makes a certain amount of money, or someone who recently became wealthy with an IPO and then renounced their citizenship to avoid punitive taxation) that it was clear who was being targeted.
