While out walking, we heard this yelling as we approached a neighborhood intersection, it was this old guy, like 70 years old or so, who walked right up to a vehicle with two woman in it, probably in their late 20s....He had seen them throw a bag a trash out their window, which happened behind us as they approached the stop. They were smiling at him until he walked right up to their passenger side window, calling them a couple fat pigs...Their smiles went to red faces and fear, as they quickly sped away...We thanked the old guy, who was literally ready to kick in the smelly pigs window.

This is the kind of outspoken involvement America needs desperately.

Indeed. But imagine if the females responded to the old man’s “provocation” and attacked him and he defended himself and one of the females was shot. . .headline; “White Vigilante Old Man Guns Down Innocent Young Woman,” and you would have scores of FReepers accusing him of starting the confrontation and deserving a whipping. . .you know, like the Travon defenders here attack Zimmerman for becoming involved in defending his community.

Anyway, enough of the thread highjack, that old man is what we need more of; citizens that look out for each other.

I think you’re right.
