I understand. *Intimating* and *telling* are very different. Nothing even remotely sensitive was ever disclosed to jeopardize their long-held clearances. It was more of “how” they said it; not at all “what” they said. They are very, very careful and mindful of national security, and fielded my questions very deftly. I’ve known each for 15-20+ years, and wouldn’t ask them to disclose what I have “no need to know”. I had a SS-issued Press Security Pass back in the mid-70s, when I covered Nixon on Key Biscayne.
