What a be-yotch.
People living in this country are so spoiled that they wake up in the morning just looking for things that “offend” them. They sure do love to whine in America these days.
Tebowing, giving thanks to God Almighty, amazing that a Catholic School should discipline someone that got the message they were teaching since Kindergarten.
At least he didn’t moon the principal.
At least he didn’t moon the principal.
I know who Tebow is but I don’t know what “Tebowing” looks like. Anything like the Macarana?
Nothing amazes me about what "Cahtolic" schools or churches do anymore.
Had he shouted Allu Akbahr he would have been a hero
What a bunch of morons.
I wonder what the ‘punishment’ would have been had he yelled “Allahu Akbar”
Tebowing looks to me like the “great thinker” if you remember that pose.
Big mistake. He should have kissed a male classmate and put a condom on a vegetable./very heavy sarcasm
On the bright side, he’ll never have to go back again.
the really spoiled ones are those who go out of their way to offend people
kids mother sounds like a weirdo control freak
I graduated from a Catholic High School and they warned us not to “lose” the cap or we would not receive the diploma. We had to prove we had it before they would hand the diploma. We didn’t get to keep the cap and gown at all.
This is not offensive, it is disruptive. This did not happen at a talent show.
Shriner's diploma was withheld at the behest of his mother, who is also a teacher at the school.Well, sure, because Tebowing leads inexorably to the next school massacre by homosexual atheists.
I take this a bit different than most of you apparently.
Graduation should be solemn and monumental occasion not to be treated with levity which apparently is what this boy did.
Today nothing is treated with seriousness by the youth and they are picking this up for the most part from their elders.
Consider that Monday is Memorial Day. How many of us will be out Monday morning to sunrise services with our young children and teach them to treat the honored heroes of past wars with the respect they are due?
From his own words it is obvious that he was not having a moment of prayer to offer thanks to G-d but he was playing the clown. I am in total agreement with the school and his mother. It is quite obvious that this is not a mature man but a child.
Our society has almost completely lost our cultures foundation stone. We no longer have solemn days of remembrance or mark days of transition such as a graduation once was. So our youth are not learning to respect elders or authority because we do not teach them the importance of these occasions. A graduation should be right of passage but now it is no more that a meaningless reason to throw a party.
If we do not teach our children to respect even an important moment in their own lives how are they ever going to respect the nation or their fellow citizens?
Traditions are important. They are the cement that bind a culture and we are loosing that bond.
Sorry but I think our society has taken Lightening UP too far.
