2010 census missed more than 1.5M minorities

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The 2010 census missed more than 1.5 million minorities after struggling to count black Americans, Hispanics, renters and young men, but was mostly accurate, the government said Tuesday.

The Census Bureau released an extensive assessment of its high-stakes, once-a-decade headcount of the U.S. population. Based on a sample survey, the government analysis has been a source of political controversy in the past over whether to "statistically adjust" census results to correct for undercounts, which usually involve minorities who tend to vote Democratic.

The findings show the 2010 census over-counted the total U.S. population by 36,000 people, or 0.01 percent, due mostly to duplicate counts of affluent whites owning multiple homes. That is an improvement from a census over-count of 0.5 percent in 2000.

However, the census missed about 2.1 percent of black Americans and 1.5 percent of Hispanics, together accounting for some 1.5 million people.

Nope. Sorry. I don't believe it. They are simply setting us up to claim that all the votes haven't been counted when Obama loses in November. As sleazy as the day is long.

Just laying the groundwork for 1.5 million dead obama voters...

Close, but I respectfully disagree. They’re laying the groundwork for 1.5 million dead obama voters...

Oh, and by “dead,” I mean fraudulent (using dead people’s registrations).

I know for certain they missed me too.

But since I am not a “Minority” I guess that is OK.

Since ACORN was allowed to coordinate with the census, I find this hard to believe.

If they are misplacing minorities, then perhaps the headline from a few days ago wrong...
“Minority Birth Rate Now Surpasses Whites In US, Census Shows”

Surrrre they did. They aren’t just pulling them out of hat or anything. If they knew they were there why did they have to waste money on a census?

But even if true that there are these people being under-counted, if they decline to be enumerated for census purposes, why is it taken as a given that they even have the RIGHT to a vote?

Hard to believe the census takers couldn’t find people. They certainly had no trouble coming to my door (and those of 2 neighbors to get info on MY address) many, many times in 2010.

This is more racist hogwash from the Obama-nations who have taken over the goverment.

Recall that Obama himself moved management responsibility for the 2010 census into the White House where he could direct the effort.

The census upper management was obsessed with race and ethnicity and spent a tremendous amount of effort to have enumerators contacting what they called “The hard to enumerate”.

They were more concerned about getting into the hobo jungles, crack houses and illegal alien hideouts than they were about gaining access to upper class gated communities.

If they “missed” them, how do they know there’s 1.5 million of them? Why not 2 million, or 4 million? And how do they know the “missed” are minorities? Wishful thinking?

“The question is not whether they are minorities, but are they Americans?”

Good question; also, were any “whites” missed?

One reason they probably undercounted renters is because in my area illegal aliens live in illegal apartments; Americans modify their larger, older homes into 2 family houses to deal with their high property taxes. Since Americans don’t breed much anymore, they don’t need the space anyway.

Despite what many people would like to believe people who are settled are fairly easy to count, and most of those in gated communities mailed in their census forms. It is transients that cause the problems, both in over counting and under counting. If the transients do not want contact with government agents (arrest warrants, illegal aliens, etc.) they are likely to be under counted. If the transients are consumers of government services and want contact with government agents (snowbirds, students, etc.), they are likely to be over counted.

1.5 million? A perfectly even number? The fact that the “number” provided is so generally large is proof in itself that there is zero evidence of any uncounted. If the “missing” could be quantified, they would have been. This number is nothing more than a wild a$$ guess, and just as reliable.
