I just had a problem with a credit card auto pay (I closed the acct and was paying off in even monthly increments...but interest charges made me have a final payment that was LESS than my auto pay amt...so what did Citi do? Of course they divided the minor remain balance INTO TEN!!! new payments of $8 plus change per month so the could earn more interest. That took over an hour (a lot of hold time &transferring to resolve and pay in one lump sum. Like you...I saw it on my statement.
Another warning if any of you play xBox (or any video game system from your game console, but online—DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD OR A CC—go to a store (Walmart & Target have them) and buy the point cards and use that card number to play online. One of my youngest son’s friends moms is having an awful time due to “charges” accrued from here son using her debit card to play.
