The Illusion of Obama's Bin Laden Raid Situation Room Leadership (must read alert)
American Thinker ^ | May 23, 2012 | Mara Zebest

Apparently, my previous article on the famous "Situation Room" photo tapped a nationwide nerve. The response ranged from some eye-opening tips on other photos to a few perplexed criticisms as to the motivation for Photoshopping a Situation Room photo.

The answer to that latter question can be summed up in one simple thought: To hide the truth. Obama was out golfing while the OBL mission was unfolding, and the administration needed the Situation Room photo op for public perception -- to give the illusion that he's presidential.

Obama's entire "Composite Presidency" and administration are orchestrated in this fashion. Not only is the photo's legitimacy in question, but so is the narrative illusion behind it. Obama knew of OBL's location for a year and refused to act. The CIA admits that there was "no live video feed," as implied by the iconic White House photo. It is anyone's guess what the captive audience was looking at, but it wasn't the OBL raid. It was recently reported that a highly lawyered CYA memo was drafted that made it clear that the military would take all blame for any errors, while Obama would claim all glory for successes. Not surprisingly, the real heroes seem to have a problem with this form of spiking the ball and using our brave SEALs for political gain. Why would Obama need to Photoshop the Situation Room photos? For the same reason behind everything else he does: to influence perception in which everything is about Obama.

As a follow-up to the previous article, a second "Situation Room" photo will be the target of discussion here.

Holy hell. So many people are in on this scam. Photogs, editors. One day someone’s gotta talk.

I know I wouldn't. I like to breathe and eat.... in that order.

Maybe, I don't discount that. I have had that happen to me when I have worn ill-fitting clothes, although I generally have the opposite problem (too tight). I had a feather down-insulated winter jacket that was very puffy and made me look almost twice as wide as I was, but that was obvious. I can't see here why he'd be wearing a big, fluffy, formal suit. And even with that his head looks pretty small.

In the end, I don't know for sure, but given these peoples' history of deception, I have some doubts. I don't respect people who try to be something they are not. I'd just as soon be done with the whole lot of them.

"...Plus he’s got someone’s pant legs under his armpits."

Those aren't pant legs under his arm pits. Those grayish strips are part of his jacket. obama has his hands on his hips with the jacket flaring out at the back. Some sport jackets have a different colored strip under the pits.

Also, the pant leg that is supposedly above obama's shoulder is not a pant leg. It is light reflecting off of the chair's arm rest.

Me thinks Mara Zebest is trying to find things where there are none. Her observation skills need a bit more fine tuning.

Mara Zebest has lots of professional analysis of this photo. What stands out to me is Obama’s small head.

To be fair, I went to media matters and another liberal website. Their articles about possible photoshoping of this picture are full of attitude, along the lines of “You're stupid if ...”.

On a substantive level, they say it is a matter of perspective, Obama is sitting in the corner, farther than anyone else from the camera. I find it hard to believe the POTUS would not sit at the table alongside General Webb. If he's in the corner, where's the dunce cap?

According to CNN: 'Moments later Bergen reports, the president walked in and said, “I need to watch this,” as he seated himself next to Webb.' That's how it looked to me. So his head is smaller than General Webb's, smaller than the three men behind General Webb. Only the lady way in the back has a smaller head than Obama. My conclusion, Obama was photoshoped into the picture.

It's been reported that Hussein Obama was golfing earlier that day. I think he was golfing when Osama was killed.

I have it too! Fantastic book.

For all the people who can fake stuff, there are those who can decipher the fakes.

Not sure which ‘floating hand’ everyone here is referring to, but there are two gents on the left with arms folded, and the digital clock above the left shoulder of the one with glasses says “Tripoli” on it.

Between the two is a hand with a gold wedding ring on it that belongs to NOBODY. The lady standing next to the man in the solid blue oxford shirt has both hands in front of her. The two guys have arms folded.

Apparently the Addams family was brought in to consult here, because THING is sitting on the blue oxford shirt guy’s left shoulder. I’d like to congratulate THING on his nuptials, and register my disappointment at not being invited to the wedding.

No doubt about this one - photoshopped huge. Daley, Panetta and Clinton all look weird in that shot too.

For example, Panetta is saying something and nobody is looking at him while he is speaking.

One more thing, big guy in the brown shirt is speaking on the right side, and driving home a point it seems, while SecDef is looking at Obama as if he’s speaking as well.

In most meetings, everyone is looking at the guy talking if there is some sort of give and take going on.

The reflection in the HD TV screen on the very left side of the room closest to Jeebs, er, I mean Obama has reflections of people that are seated to the left of Sec Def.

How would the camera pick it up from the angle it took the photo and not pick up the back of the lady in black and white to the left side of the room next to blue oxford shirt guy?
