I only said my concerns were somewhat alleviated. I thought based on the headline that he wanted to give direct subsidies to immigrants to help them get jobs. That is not the case.

I would've been more impressed if Rubio's bill restored some of the old time requirements that immigrants have their own damn money before beign allowed in.

Even Canada has that provision. The last I looked, they want immigrants to have $10,000 cash.

” The problem isn’t the lack of visas, the problem is that American companies actually prefer these foreigners over their available American counterparts because they can pay them less and bind them into a sort of indentured servitude status to prevent them from jumping ship to a competitor. “

Nailed!

Our current policies treat Phd engineers and scientists the same as illiterate ILLEGAL diseased mestizos with twelve anchor babies and a non-working wife each.

Trying to fix this kind of idiocy is not conservative ?

Think again, boys and girls.

In for a dime in for a dollar ~ Rubio's proposal doesn't fix that problem at all.

It just adds to the problem.

Currently 53% of recent college grads (over the last 5 years) are UNEMPLOYED, and 47% of them are marginally employed outside their fields or in part time jobs.

Seriously, can Rubio keep these ideas under his hat until the more pressing problems are dealt with ~ FOR AMERICANS!

“The bill would . . . provide visas for high-skilled immigrants to remain in the U.S.”

Yeah, wouldn’t want to send them home so Americans could have those jobs, would we Rubio? So let’s get the federal monster to intervene on behalf of the foreign workers.

If Romney picks this guy for VP, it won’t increase the likelihood of my voting for him.

I agree.

They should staple a Green Card to every American University PhD o BS in advanced math and science.

We want them on OUR side. Let France and California take the low IQ future welfare recipients.
