What’s the difference between having a helicopter or plane vs. a drone overhead patrolling your city?

What’s the difference between armed drones and armed helicopters or planes? (Like you, I want neither)

What makes armed drones WORSE than armed helicopters or armed planes?

Why hasn’t the government armed helicopters or planes when they’ve had 50+ years to do so, but can’t wait to arm drones?

I have to imagine you are you anti-helicopter and anti-plane for the same reasons you are anti-drone, correct?

What makes armed drones WORSE than armed helicopters or armed planes?

Not many local law enforcement agencies can afford Apaches (Lord knows they'd buy them if they could) and there is something psychological about an armed helicopter or aircraft being operated by a local law enforcement agency.

But drones, drones are easy to sell to the idiot masses. All you have to do is mention terrorism, drugs, firefighting, search and rescue. And drones would be fine IF you could keep them in check.

The problem is mission creep plus a complacent group of sheeple, I mean citizens. Montgomery county in Texas that felt it needs to monitor its citizens, they are talking about arming their drones, and I have yet to see a concentrated effort to remove its public officials from office.

If Obama said the FBI was going to have drones monitoring a Texas county, people would flip out. But hey, as long as it's just the local Sheriff's department, it's okay.

I have no idea. Drones have cameras and infra red and can get up close and personal with their targets. Horrifying!
