Police say a person stole Monroeville Mall merchandise and was seen on video hitting a 17-year-old employee who confronted her.
First, the girl shoplifted at Hollister on Thursday, police said.
Then, the video shows her holding the worker's hair, hitting her with a purse and kicking her after the employee followed her outside the store and onto the mall floor.
"Certainly, it looks pretty shocking on the video," Monroeville Police Chief Doug Cole said. "The young lady was being assaulted, as you can see, struck and kicked. That's at least a simple assault."
Police said the suspect will also be charged with theft after she is caught.
So far, police have declined to publicly identify the suspect. But they still want to hear from anyone who has a tip that can help them find her.

These specially protected people have shut down at least three malls right here in the east part of Cleveland: Euclid Mall, Severance Mall, and Randall Mall. Now, grass grows in the parking lots.
People (mostly white) were afraid to go to their cars, to go into or to come out of the malls for fear of being mugged. And yet we put our heads in the sand, and pretend that we don’t know why these malls close.
So, whites are getting mugged at malls, at voting booths, and just simply walking down the streets, and there is NOTHING THAT WE CAN DO except carry a loaded gun. Our DOJ is a criminal organization hell-bent on paying “whitey” back.
Perhaps it’s a silly relic of my ancient thinking but it seems to me that loss prevention staff should be made up of “full-figured” males with hair one can’t grab.
This happened near my hometown. It’s heartbreaking. This area has become a cesspool of welfare trash and yes, Obama voters. They’re all waiting for “Obama’s stash”. Good, decent, hardworking Americans are moving further away from what was once the great city of Pittsburgh. The mall in which this assault happened is in the eastern suburbs. Now, there is talk of eliminating public bus service to the mall, which would most likely lower the crime rate. Is this political? Oh, you betcha. There’s a group of scum out there who have been told by their leaders that they are “entitled” to what those rich people have, and it’s really okay if they take it.
We can have that conversation anytime now, Mr.Holder.

Me too. I knew what I’d see before I watched the video.
I’m obviously a racist.
This seems to keep happening over and over. Sometimes over little slights now over shoplifting. But the black beats white theme does not vary. It saddens me to think that we are being baited into a war between this and the Zimmerman fiasco.
Back in the 80’s I though we were moving toward a non racial society. Many friends and happy hours when all races partied together, weddings of mixed raced friends...but yet here we are.
