you are a trash reader and miss out on the point of most of the thread which was to incentivize people by owning land.

even the military, people who i take a back seat to no one in appreciating, should be owners of property.

The title of the thread is, "Should we have some criteria to be a voter?" My reply to which you intially responded was in regards to property ownership being used as one of those criteria. If that's not what you're talking about, you're the one with the reading comprehension issue.

You implied that property ownership was the defining "stake" one should have in order to vote...as though those who didn't own property didn't have an adequate stake. Tell that to the Viet Nam vet whose left leg is fertilizing somebody's rice paddy...just because he chooses to rent an apartment. Tell that to the newly commissioned lieutenant who waits a few months before reporting to his OBC, where after half a year or so, he goes to Ranger school, then reports to his first unit, then deploys for a year +, and sees no stability whatsoever, much less the chance to buy a home, until at least his first promotion. Tell them they shouldn't vote.

If you can tell them in good conscience they shouldn't vote because they don't have enough *skin in the game* you're free to hold that opinion. You'll still be a moron, but you're free to hold that opinion.
