Trayvon's killer said to make self-incriminating statements

Neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman made statements to police that help establish his guilt in the second-degree murder case against him for killing unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, prosecutors said in a court filing on Thursday.

The claim came in a motion by prosecutors to keep some of Zimmerman's statements under seal pending his trial in a case that triggered civil rights protests across the United States, while sparking widespread debate over guns, self-defense laws and U.S. race relations.

"Defendant (Zimmerman) has provided law enforcement with numerous statements, some of which are contradictory, and are inconsistent with the physical evidence and statements of witnesses," the prosecutors said in their court filing.

They said the statements by Zimmerman were admissible in court and "in conjunction with other statements and evidence help to establish defendant's guilt in this case."

The court filing offered no details about the statements Zimmerman made to police or other law enforcement officials. It said Florida's public records law had no provision requiring "the disclosure of a confession" of a defendant....

I doubt he will allow her to supress her “special” evidence.

She is acting insecure, that is for sure. She heard her “civil rights” pals rattling the sabers that she has screwed up the case. If she does not hang Zimmerman, they will turn on her like the snakes they are. Plus, she’ll have all the normal people angry for pulling a Nifong, too. She jumped from the frying pan, into the fire.

This comes directly on the heels of the “news” of eye witness recantations and contradictory statements.

That is called the media tampering with witnesses.

He has a long history of serving blacks and he has black friends in the community. It will be hard to smear him into a white racist given he is not white. LOL

That’s so sad. Those poor people and their family and friends.

Many other whites have been “randomly” beaten, doused by gas and burned, stabbed in the back, and gunned down by blacks since the call of the wild in Holder’s anti-gun, anti-self defense Trayvon parade.

To: who knows what evil?

This heinous black on white crime only made the local news.
As far as I can find out, they know at least three or four other animals were in on it but have only captured one.

“Zimmerman simply proved that yes, this is a great country, you can defend your life without fear of being prosecuted by your own government,”

Too bad a white person can’t go vote in this “great country” without fear of being intimidated by racist thug New Black Pampers.

A racist federal hate crime like that would not go unpunished in a “great country” would it?

Zimmerman has not been acquitted yet.

Tgis is funny. The prosecutors don’t want the jury pool in the county where the [alleged] crime was committed to be biased by the media, and they want a fair trial. There would have been no special prosecutor and there would have been no charges and there would be no trial without massive Sharpton and other race pimp-generated publicity. Now they want it all tamped down? ha!

I suspect it will be a bunch of little inconsistencies, like they hinted at with the claim that Trayvon tried to smother him which they don’t believe. Unless they have something major I think someone in his situation could be forgiven for minor discrepancies. He was not exactly taking notes while this went down.

Re: “.....the initial investigator recommended charges (manslaughter, I believe).”

Incorrect.

The lead detective stated publicly to the Orlando Sentinel that he did NOT recommend ANY charge against Zimmerman.

Re: “.....the lead investigator, actually recommended a capias for the charge of manslaughter in March.”

Do you have a source for that?

Either the Wagist.com or ConservativeTreeHouse.com published an Orlando Sentinel interview with Serino, and he says he did NOT recommend ANY charge against Zimmerman.

but when Alan Dershowitz (pride of the American left) says the man is innocent....it's over.

Dershowitz did not say he is innocent. He is saying the evidence presented by the prosecutor is not consistent with murder. He further says the evidence appears to fit the self defense story that Zimmerman has presented.

As a footnote, no one but Zimmerman knows the details of what took place.

What is your source for that?

This motion doesn't say when Zimmerman made these "contradictory" statements. It could have been after Corey's office took the case over.

Do we know for a fact that Zimmerman talked with Corey's office? I thought he offered to talk with them but it never happened.

The lead detective stated publicly to the Orlando Sentinel that he did NOT recommend ANY charge against Zimmerman.

If that's the case, then the lead detective lied to the Orlando Sentinel. According to page 28 of this link, the police concluded that:

"Based on the facts and circumstances outlined in this narrative, I believe there exists probable cause for issuance of a capias [e.g., arrest warrant] charging George Michael Zimmerman with Manslaughter . . . This case is being forwarded to the Office of the State's Attorney as a request for capias."

But also note the prosecution’s attempt to close the suppression hearings from public view. Anytime there’s a motion to close a hearing, save juvenile issues involved, I get suspicious.

Yes, you are correct.

The probable cause statement is on Page 44, by the way.

Here's the quote that confused me, and others:

“Investigator Chris Serino of Sanford police said Friday the agency has worked closely with prosecutors, and have not arrested Zimmerman because prosecutors have consistently told them they do not have enough evidence to win a manslaughter conviction.”

I’ve had enough of George Zimmerman being railroaded to appease gorillas like Al Sharpton and that dude from the black panthers. I am going to donate to Zimmerman’s defense fund.

Sadly, I think you’re spot on. His “guilt” has been decreed by Obama, Holder and the media. They will make it happen regardless of anything resembling the truth.

It’s past the point where the DA, the “Justice” Department or the MSM is even trying to pretend to be fair anymore. The Party has declared his guilt, therefore he is guilty. Cased closed. Move along. No questions will be tolerated.
