Website asks women to be proud of their abortions

May 25, 2012 (LiveActionNews.org) - Since xoJane.com prides itself on being the website “where women go when they are being selfish, and where their selfishness is applauded,” it’s no surprise they are asking women to brag about their experience with abortion. The site is asking women to submit photos of themselves declaring why they support the act of killing one’s own child. They want women to end their silence and proclaim to the world that they’ve had abortions and feel zero guilt about it.

In the post, “It Happened to Us: Abortion,” author S.E. Smith writes:

For a medical procedure that should be routine, like getting a filling at the dentist or getting a vaccination, it sure is politically charged. I wear my abortion on my sleeve (so to speak) because I want other people to know that they don’t need to feel shame about choosing to get an abortion[.]

First, abortion isn’t something that “happens” to anyone. It is not an arbitrary, unexpected event beyond a woman’s control, but an act of aggression, which she sought out. Second, it is not and should not be routine to rip your own child out of your womb. Unlike vaccinations and dental fillings, abortion ends the life of a baby and can leave mothers with a lifetime of remorse and bouts of depression.

Smith also says:

There’s a tendency in some corners of the pro-choice movement to talk about abortion as a tragic but sometimes necessary procedure, to talk about the need to reduce the overall number of abortions, and this is a mistake. It plays into the hands of the anti-choice movement by assigning a moral value to abortion.

There’s a reason so many people who affiliate themselves with the pro-choice side call abortion tragic but necessary. There’s a reason so many of them say that no one wants to have an abortion, but sometimes it’s the right thing to do. It’s because they know that abortion is tragic and wrong, but they have become so snarled up in politically correct lingo that they can’t see straight anymore. They know that abortion is a gravely horrific act of murder, but they cannot get themselves out from under the weight of their own misguided attempts to help women. The fact is that murdering someone is legally wrong because it is morally wrong. Since abortion is murder, the same rules should apply. To help someone commit a murder is also morally and legally wrong. And the pro-choicers who assign a moral value to abortion know this, but they live in denial, preferring to ignore their own consciences.

Smith tells all of her readers:

If you had an abortion, you can rock on with your bad self, whether you braved the dangers of illegal abortion pre-Roe v. Wade or took some mifepristone this morning. And if anyone has a problem with that, that’s their problem, not yours.

She believes that women who have had abortions should celebrate themselves and that those women who risked their health to kill their own children in pre-Roe days (and really, in these days, too) should honor their twisted principles. When did women who would risk death in order to kill their child become more admirable than those who risk their lives to save their children? Imagine slave owners who may have told those fighting for freedom for slaves: “If you don’t like that I own slaves, that’s your problem, not mine.” Or picture an abusive man telling his wife’s family: “If you don’t like my relationship, that’s your problem.” Envision terrorists telling us that if we don’t like their actions, that’s our problem. Abortion is about a woman and her doctor the way child abuse is about a parent and her child. To imply that none of us has a right to protect victims of violence is unacceptable.

Interwoven in Smith’s post are photos of women supporting abortion.

Lesley Kinzel holds up a note with drawings of three cats. It reads, “If I was pregnant TODAY, I would get an abortion. (Cats are enough, thank you.) (Less crying) (Self reliance) (Smaller poops).” It seems that for Kinzel, having to love a child is a horrid task.

When Sari Botton proclaims in her photo, “Had 1 surgical + 1 chemical. Been perpetuating the shame by keeping silent…until now. 1+1=2 abortions,” all I picture (graphic link) is a baby burned to death by saline and another being ripped to pieces. Never given a name, never given a hug, never allowed to feel love from another person.

It is all obviously and pathetically egocentric. And it all plays into the master plot of Planned Parenthood and the Population Council to shift society’s view of children from blessing to curse, to alter the perception of family to be a unit that includes only one or two children, and to convince everyone that there is no one more important than I am.

Helena Andrews’ photo stating, “I Choose Life. Mine,” says it all.

Could we solve this by requiring a sterilization when a woman has an abortion? She gets to end the pregnancy, and then we ensure that it never happens again.

Reminds me of the T-shirts they tried to promote years ago in response to the “Silent No More” awareness campaign.

Women KNOW in their innermost core that abortion is wrong.

May God have mercy on them for their own and those they have encouraged others to get.

Salve

Please put me in your list of interest.

For that woman I will do Mongolian justice, and for each of them, without mercy.

I know Lord ask we should love another as He love us, though enough is enough. For people who proclaim and be happy they commit murder, no mercy will be giving.

Woman can scream it is my body; sorry the child is not your body!!!!!!

Merci

If I knew how to hack websites I'd hack that one by posting a picture of the ultrasound of healthy baby boy or girl and next to it a picture of the remains of an aborted child.

Someone tell me why they should be proud to admit to being too stupid to use birth control, or too stupid to keep their legs closed, Or so stupid they gave themselves to somebody who either refuses to support a child or that they dislike so badly they don’t want his child.

Why would someone be proud of killing one of natures miracles.Of murder of a growing human being.Killing it because they were too dumb to realize that when you have sex, you begin the journey that God gave women.

Whoopi Goldberg brags that she had 6 abortions.

My guess is that she is proud that she found 6 different men stupid enough to have sex with her ugly self.

"If you had an abortion, you can rock on with your bad self..."

If abortion is such a good thing why would it be so damned objectionable if someone advocated abortions just for blacks?

Actually just getting ONE abortion can result in that from irreversable damage to the uterus which a lot of these wanna be killers don’t realize. And if that happens then they have to live out the rest of their lives childless knowing the one gift God gavethem they went and murdered. There are a LOT of women like that, especially in Hollywood. You’d be surprised how many old time actresses never had kids. Because they couldn’t thanks to doing the thing their industry supports and prmotes like mad.

Liberalism is an r-selected psychology. In nature, r-selected species exhibit low-investment rearing strategies. Parents parent offspring as little as possible, to get them out the door so they can go back to having sex, and then begin on the next brood.

Abortion is what happens when an r-selected individual can use science to abort their offspring, and free themselves from all responsibility for it before it is born. The intellectual r-selected psychology will embrace that, aggressively, and not be able to see anything wrong with it. Telling them it’s wrong is like telling a rabbit to be monogamous. The rabbit won’t understand any more than the Liberal, and will actually think you’re weird for saying it.

Liberals are grossly defective by the normal standards of our species, in every way. They really are sub-human. And science can clearly explain it all, in a way even a Liberal can’t deny.

Pure Evil and nothing else! Whoopi Goldberg is a prime example - a half dozen abortions - and she has the gall to make the self-serving statement that women who have multiple abortions should be "revered."

I revere women like my late mother who bore 8 children to term, two of whom died in infancy, was a faithful wife and mother for 46 years until her untimely death, who reared her children up in the Roman Catholic Faith, and who was stoic in the face of numerous personal losses.

I revere women like the Benedictine Sisters at St. Anthony School in Washington, D.C. who, over a half century ago, taught this sometimes wayward knave about the things in life that mattered. They lived lives of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience.

The Whoopis of this world are on a self-indulgent, self-gratifying, self-ratifying road straight to the Nether Regions. Contrast women such as Mother Angelica, who founded EWTN, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and my 8th grade teacher, Sr. Margretta, O.S.B., who lived anonymous lives of prayer, sacrifice, and teaching. They are an inspiration to all right-thinking men and women.

Some would accuse me of having a skewed cultural bias. They are correct to a point. It's not a bias - it's a considered set of basic beliefs grounded in traditional Catholic Christianity. It's the product of over six decades of life experience - Catholic education in early years - service in the Vietnam War, Loyola University Maryland on my return, a period of twenty-odd years away from the Church in early adulthood, and a somewhat circuitous journey back to the Church twenty-five years ago. The catalyst in that return to the fold was my wife, Mary Frances. The joke between us is that I saved her from the nunnery and she saved me from eternal damnation.

I've maundered on long enough - thanks for your indulgence. God is pro-Life - Satan is pro-abortion. The Whoopis of the world are his tools and nothing else.

Keep the Faith, FRiends!

Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!

Excellent. How about the fact that it is demonstrably obvious that a baby isn’t the same as a tooth or vaccination. The vacuous cruelty of these liberals is nothing short of insane. They’re selfish beyond belief.

Maybe this effort to convince women to be proud of having killed their babies is a backlash against the pro-life efforts to publicize the regret and guilt that many women feel after making that “decision”. For a long time, the abortion industry has been promoting the idea that women who feel guilty after doing that horrible deed are somehow abnormal pariahs, which only makes those women feel even more guilty and alone.

I’m firmly of the opinion that those who are the most vocal about supporting abortion are also suppressing the most guilt about it. I’ve yet to see someone who’s had their appendix removed out protesting about the right to have an appendectomy, or urging others to have one. No one has ever carried a sign saying, “My body, my teeth, my choice!” in front of a dentist’s office. No one who promotes abortion acts even remotely like abortion is a routine medical procedure; there is no reason pro-lifers should act as if that is a reasonable premise.

Philippians 3:18–19 (NKJV) ...they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame

It's amazing how the Bible has just the right description for these people. Of course, they don't have to stay enemies...
