The pilot requested and was granted permission to descend to 6,000 feet. It crashed into a mountain only several dozen feet different from that altitude. A 7,200 foot mountain. There was no sign of any fault with the almost new aircraft before the crash. The cause seems obvious but is just too embarrassing to mention. Pilot error.
