These are Conservatives who are stellar examples of what elected representatives should look like. As for taking the Republican party “back”, the end result will depend on what happens in the Presidential, Senate and other local, state and national races.

The destiny of our Republic is in the hands of We the People, not the GOP. I am not a defeatist, but rather a realist.

Right now, the biggest hope for our future lies in my home state of Wisconsin. As the Walker recall goes, so goes the country. And as usual, the Tea Party is working harder than anyone else.

I agree that our future needs to be in the hands of We the People and not in those of the GOPe (I added the small letter ‘e’). I stopped doing ANYTHING for the RNC in 2008 when they spent a VERY significant amount of money in an attempt to defend the Maryland Congressman Wayne Gilchrest (who was ranked in 2008 as THE most liberal Republican in the House) against a primary challenge by a conservative named Andy Harris. That support of a RINO against another (but true conservative) Republican pissed me off big time. Gilchrest lost to Harris. For the support that the GOPe gave him, the ungrateful and resentful Gilcrest then turned around and spent the rest of the year badmouthing Harris & the Republican Party in general. He did everything he could to weaken Harris. Harris lost in the 2008 general election to the Democrat but came back in 2010 and defeated him. From the time of that 2008 primary to today I haven’t given the RNC (or other GOPe type organizations a penny). Anything I’ve donated has gone directly to the campaigns of worthy TRUE CONSERVATIVE candidates. Of course, never giving up, the RNC continues to bombard us with solicitations & phone calls despite our attempts to tell them they’re wasting their time.

Good luck in the Wisconsin recall. I spent a lot of time keying in petition data for True the Vote and, to the limited extent I could, donated a little to the recall campaigns of both Governor Walker & his Lieutenant Governor. Judging from the latest polling data I’ve seen from Wisconsin, you folks are doing a magnificent job in that election.
