Two trends make this inevitable in the US:

1. The increasing number of attempts at getting sharia law recognized as valid by the influx of moslems into the US. Since liberals seem to view anything demanded by moslems to be a valid cultural demand, we can expect to see calls for sharia to be answered in some states with acquiescence.

2. The declining secular economic prospects for men (thanks to a continual war against men by feminists and lap-dog men) will result in a fairly select group of very successful men who have the spine to tell society “kiss my posterior” and succeed wildly in material terms.

Women, whether they like to admit it or not, are attracted to successful men, and with many women now having higher income levels than at least 20 to 25% of males, will be increasingly attracted to the rapidly dwindling number of successful alpha males. You see this happening in the “hook up culture” on campuses now, with alpha males able to bed nearly anything they want, while young women hope that they could “catch” such a male and “reform him.” To said males, I suggest that they avoid marriage at all costs, since it is now heavily stacked against men.

This tendency is called “hypergamy” and while feminists like to claim that it is no longer the norm, the ugly truth is that it is biologically programmed into women, just as the tendency of men to select for women with attributes which indicate healthy child-bearing and rearing: hips of proper proportion and a nice set of breasts. Women are biologically programmed to select successful men to provide for their offspring.

If you think the above referenced article isn’t to your liking, you’d better get set to see many more infuriating cases coming down the road.

Once the definition of family is altered to accept one screaming group, anything and everything is fair game. VERY slippery slope.

What lies at the bottom of the slippery slope will come to many as an utter surprise. There'll be great gnashing of teeth and shrieking, "Why didn't somebody tell us this could happen? Now, what the heck are we supposed to do?"

Climb back up the slippery slope, nitwit. Good luck.

But his wives say the situation suits them perfectly too. They confronted any feelings of jealousy early on ('of course there were moments we were jealous,' Alina admits), and now manage to live harmoniously.

Joe shares out his conjugal time equally between the three, spending a night in turn with each in their own bedrooms. Incredibly, Joe says he couldn't choose between the three. 'I'm in love with all of them,' he says. 'I don't think I could pick one over the other.

---------------- And this is the polygamous marriages that *get along*. Imagine when the SRM starts running out the Warren Jeffs photos of locked-up fillies with 4 children each, at the age of 23.

True family men are in short supply. These women want a family. Supply meet demand. We need their children. All of us.

“If gay marriage is legalized, they have a good argument. It’s not fair to redefine marriage in the name of “love” for one group and not another.”

Yep. We can all wait for bestiality and pedophilia to come after that. Necrophelia can’t be far behind either.

Agreed. I would also add

3) The homosexualization of our culture. Once gender is no longer a requirement for marriage in the eyes of the law, it’s hypocritical for the same libs who pushed it to say number must be a requirement.

What also won’t be far behind is Muslim men petitioning Immigration to let all four of their wives in. You bring in four wives and 32 children, the welfare, food stamps and other benefits they covet... imagine the consequences.

I’m real curious how much taxpayer benefit this guy and 24 kids are getting.

If God intended polygamy, then the ratio of women to men would be much higher in order to give men multiple wives, but that is not so. This indicates God intended for marriage to be with one man and one woman.

The traditional way of dealing with this situation, though not necessarily always conciously, is by warfare.

The powerful men in a polygamous society, who themselves all have multiple wives, wage war on adjacent societies, using mostly the excess single men as sword or cannon fodder.

Each one of these guys that dies reduces the competition for females and the associated stress on society, and of course some of them capture their own wives from the enemy.

Polygamy is a solution to a societal problem when many men are lost to violent conflict, and/or there are large numbers of “un-marryable” men.

While we’re living through a period of time the past 50 years or so in the developed world where these are not tremendous problems, human history tells us unequivocally that our current state is not the norm.

In times of war and scoundrels where there is no polygamy and women have few economic options, you’re basically telling the women to become prostitutes to survive.

To say that polygamy is intrinsically wrong or unfair to women is just not true.

Like Islam, Mormon polygamy was established to enable men to get all the sex they want- and brainless women fall for it.

Once I happened upon ‘Sister Wives’ on TLC when the husband and ‘wives’ were answering questions from viewers. Someone asked why couldn’t wives have more than one husband. The husband said he couldn’t think of anything more vulgar.
?????

LOL

California has now legalized same sex “marriage”. As part of the state’s approval, they insist that school children be indoctrinated that same sex “marriage” is just as normal as traditional marriage.

Advocates of same sex marriage are smug in their seizure of the state to enforce their secular morality.

Curiously, when liberal advocates of gay marriage are asked if their policy also would allow polygamy or polyandry , they recoil in horror and insist that it does not. However, logic demands that it does.

I would ask how same-sex parents are going to react in the future when Utah public schools insist on indoctrinating the children that LDS-related polygamy is just as “normal” as same-sex “marriage”. The fact that this will be an issue will show yet again that gay “marriage” is not about marriage at all, it is about forcing the rest of us to approve of repugnant sexual immorality, something that LDS polygamists have never demanded.

I also observe that advocates of same-sex marriage and those who cheer them on in the media are totally silent on the issue of consanguineous marriage, that is when people who are genetically close (near kin) marry. This does not occur very often in the WASP demographic in the US, however Wikipedia reports: “It is estimated that 55% of marriages between Mirpuri (Kashmiri) Pakistani Muslim immigrants in the United Kingdom are between first cousins,[6][7][8] where “preferential patrilateral parallel cousin marriage” (where a boy marries his father’s brother’s daughter) is often favored.” (from wikipedia entry on Consanguinity).

It appears that when LDS-related polygamists have consanguinity it is just one more repulisive attribute that amplifes the revulsion about plural marriage, but when faithful Muslims practice it, it is not worth even a passing mention.

Hey!!!
This would be a great idea for a TV show.
Of course the husband would have to be a Rich guy with Home Depot type stores and they would probably have him running for office as a Republican and all the Liberals would damn his life style while secretly living it...

What?

They did?

Sorry, disregard.
