On listening to the recording earlier I heard him seem to struggle with the concept. It wasn’t full of snarkiness, bile, or pomposity. I was actually quite surprised by that. And now he apologizes. I’m 20 years Navy and have been illuminated by fire control radar and chased by a Soviet sub. Other than those two non-combat experiences I haven’t been so much as insulted by an enemy. That’s all I come from. I’ll let those with real combat experience have their say but I am good with it.
