Bitter primaries undercut GOP hopes in 3 states {barfer}

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Mutual admiration was the rule for Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson's listening session at the University of South Florida.

School provost Ralph Wilcox introduced the two-term senator as a "steadfast advocate for all Floridians." Nelson, best known for flying the space shuttle Columbia in January 1986, flattered the more than two dozen students present, saying they had a keen sense about people running for elected office. "You guys can usually smell out folks. You can spot a phony," he said.

Nelson collected their personal stories about the unbearable weight of student loans for a Senate speech days later on the need to keep the interest rate low. At the conclusion of the hour-plus session, he posed for photos with students.

Don't go looking for compliments and congeniality in the Republican primary to decide Nelson's election-year challenger. It's one of the meanest races in the country.

If you value your vote, then vote your values!

Now is the time for all good men and women to put Country above Party.

For far to long the RINO Wing of the Republican Party has been in control of losing our National Elections.

The time has come to cast aside the hold-your-nose clothespins that the RINOs expect us to use when they ask us to vote for their tweedle-dumb or tweedle-dumber Candidates.

To all Primary voters: List the top 10 demonstrated positive values for each Candidate for all offices, and vote accordingly.

If there is no Candidate that meets your values for a given office, then leave that office slot blank.

This will then be a “None-Of-The-Above,” or ABSTAIN vote, AND the fact that you voted in the election will be counted, as you turn in your ballot.

This “None-of-the-Above” vote is a protest voter message directed to the Republican National Committee: CHOOSE BETTER CANDIDATES WITH BETTER VALUES IF YOU WANT OUR VOTES NEXT TIME!

Even if you turn in a totally unmarked ballot for any Candidate for any office your ballot will still be recorded as a legal vote in the election.

One office slot left blank, or all office slots left blank your ballot will still be counted as a ballot cast in this election.

Vote FOR, AGAINST, OR LEAVE BLANK, BUT DO CAST YOUR BALLOT.

The worst thing that you could do is to stay home and not vote.

The RINOs love it when we do not vote, as it means to them that we are just “apathetic,” and thus the RINOs know that we will let them do anything that they want to.

To throw off the stranglehold RINO yoke, we need a massive voter turnout on Primary Election Day!

Vote FOR the VALUES that has made America great!

If you value your vote, then vote your values!

In the Texas US senate race to replace Kay Baily Hutchinson , Ted Cruz may not need a run-off to defeat Lying RINO David Dewhurst.

I'd love to see the T.E.A. Party pull this off. ..what a message!

Simple, folks, if you read, listen and heed anything the AP says you are either on drugs, smoking reefer or drinking too much Kool-Aid!!! Bill Nelson is a dead beat from start to finish. Debbie Stabenow needs weight watchers real bad. And..yes, Casey may win In PA, but...just barely, if he does. And...yes....this very same Associated Press has told us all the Tea Party is dead!!! Just panic in motion by the Obamabots!!!

I’m starting to think you’re correct. Cruz definitely has the momentum. Even tho Rick “I’m dumb as a can of Spam” Perry has endorsed Dewhurst as has Mike “The Huckster” Huckabee. If there is a run-off, ultimately Ted Cruz will be the new U.S. Senator from the Lone Star State. Here in Southeast Texas, every Pubbie I know, is voting for Cruz.

Sounds like a fantastic idea - for guaranteeing another 4 miserable years of The Won.

I’ll vote for ABO instead. We can’t take another 4 years of this just to make a point and show the GOP a thing or two.

Bill Nelson is a traitor to his constituents. He has voted opposite of the way we asked him to and we are going to get him out of office.

I’m in Fla and haven’t heard much about this race. I don’t see how it can be considered nasty when there is virtually no publicity from any side. Probably Mack will win.

Why do you think Romney vs Obama 2012 will be any different than McCain vs Obama 2012?

In 2008, Obama was a junior Senator from Illinois. In 2012 Obama is the Incumbent Marxist Dictator. Romney won’t have a chance.

Yeah I voted for Cruz today but the recent polls show Dewhurst at just under 50% and Cruz at less than 25%. There will most certainly be a run-off.

In reading my TEA leaves, I think Cruz will do much better than expected.

...but yes, most likely a run-off.

Can you tell me what persuaded you to vote for him?

My guess is that its a September primary so the filing deadline (without looking it up) is sometime between early June and early July.
