A belief that reality is the way the writer imagines it to be combined with a certainty that if it didn't go that way, it could have nothing at all to do with his ideas or the way he went about promoting them but only with something nefarious done by someone else, the answer being to refuse support to any but his now-rejected chosen even if it means the re-election of a socialist putz but that's okay because it'll show Romney and the GOP-e that he, the disgruntled, is a real force to be reckoned with and that if they had only listened to him everything would have been all right?

"And Romney is a lousy candidate with a lousy campaign."

You certainly didn't get that from the article. Dunn said: "his primary campaign of the past few months has been one of the most impressive of recent years by any politician on either side of the aisle." He certainly eviscerated all of his opponents.

What is the basis for your statement?

Punctuation is your friend. Your rant is unreadable.

You need more practice reading. Let me Hemingwayize it for you with about 25% more words:

"And Romney is a lousy candidate with a lousy campaign."

What is the basis for your statement?

Could it be that the basis for his statement is a belief that reality is the way the writer imagines it to be? Could it be that he combines this belief with a certainty that if reality doesn't go the way he imagines it, it could have nothing at all to do with his ideas or the way he went about promoting them but only with something nefarious done by someone else? Could it be that his answer is to refuse support to any but his now-rejected chosen even if it means the re-election of a socialist putz? Could it be that he thinks that's okay because it'll show Romney and the GOP-e that he, the disgruntled, is a real force to be reckoned with and that if they had only listened to him everything would have been all right?
