Birth Certificate Whac-A-Mole

Would you like to play a neat parlor game with your friends? Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate forgery contains so many forger's errors which are visible to the naked eye or which can be seen on your computer under slight magnification that you can play a fun game finding them, either alone or in a contest with your friends. It's similar to the arcade game Whac-A-Mole, where you pound a mechanical mole back into its hole before it disappears on its own and randomly reappears in another one of the five holes in the game. You can score by time per defect -- five points for each one found within two minutes, for example -- or by total score -- five points for each defect for the length of the game. (Note: Conservatives will generally spot these defects more quickly than liberals do.)

To see these defects, we need to use the digital PDF of the forgery released at whitehouse.gov. (You can download your copy from here.) The reason for using the digital PDF is that it is the original forgery -- rather than the Savannah Guthrie photo or the T-shirt I used in my article "Oblivious to the Obvious," published in American Thinker on April 10, which are a generation removed and can introduce distortion -- camera-lens distortion or twisted T-shirt fabric. Also, you need to view the PDF on your computer screen, because some of the defects are not visible if you print the PDF on a computer printer and then look at the printout.

Until this morning when I sat the article, I didn’t know that Romney’s father was born in Mexico.

Whether the ‘birth record’ is a forgery or not, the problem is, the definition of “Natural born citizen” can’t be agreed upon. His mother was clearly an American citizen, no matter where he was born. I think that’s why the CLintons didn’t pursue this more.

I wish Mr Chase would spend time investigating whether Obama applied to colleges as a foreign student. I believe this is why his records are sealed. He was clearly an American citizen, but things from the past keep popping up that make it sound as though he presented himself to others as a foreign student. This ploy to ‘take advantage of the system’ was used by other lefties at the time and goes along with his mother & grandfather’s political beliefs.

There have been people from his past who’ve said that they knew him to be a foreign student. (this is aside from the bio put out by his publisher).

His lying on college applications and who knows how many other documents and situations in order to ‘get ahead’ should be fully investigated and publicized before the election.

I agree that 0bama has never been vetted and much of his past has been forged or sealed to protect him from what it might reveal (college records are completely closed off from public view for example).

That being said, as unqualified as he is to hold the position of President of the United States, the election of 2012 should be all about his dismal record especially with regards to the economy. If it can be proven that he stole money from taxpayers by lying about being a foreign student or that Bill Ayers paid for his education, that will be a bonus. The election should be about 0bama’s socialist record and how it is ruining the economy. That should be enough to get him tossed in November.

Overall the is a pretty weak article. Whether this is a forgery or a real document, it was scanned at a relatively low resolution with a lot of image processing. The halo comes from applying a digital unsharp mask for edge enhancement. It is a huge pain scanning a combined text and image document to sharpen the image section without getting the halo around every letter. Also someone had set up the scanner or imaging software to extract the letters for OCR, remove them from the main image layer and put them back in as a separate black & white layer. But that does some warping of the letters when the scanned pixels don't match well with the edges of the typed letters (do the 51% black pixels get included or not?)

I would like to see the alleged birth certificate scanned at high resolution with no image processing or compression along with a known good certificate produced at about the same time. But I don't expect the Obama administration to do any such thing. Another thing which could be done is to scan a known good certificate on a scanner set up similarly to the White House one and see if similar flaws occur with the halos and imperfect OCR extraction.

Simply being born in another country doesn't necessarily mean you are a citizen of that country.

The US is one of the only, if not the only country that makes you a citizen simply by being born in the country.

Even that was a judges interpretation, it was never intended to be that way.

I like you feel he used foreign status for his education, and may have even
renounced his citizenship to get it.

There’s something fishy about the sealing of his school records after all we have heard about Bush, and even Gore/Kerry and their academics.

I don’t think so. I am pretty sure Mitt’s Dad was a US citizen because the grandparents were. He was just born in Mexico which still makes Mitt an NBC.

I think somoene inside, I mean deep inside the Obama camp forged the cert, this is because had they tasked the Secret Service or CIA with this the result wouldn’t have been a hacked together POS BC.

However Obammy being a commie POS wouldn’t trust the CIA to forge such an important document and then stay quiet, catch 22.

I didn’t know that Romney’s father was born in Mexico.

What matters is that Romney's father was a U.S. citizen when Mitt was born -- which he was and that's the big difference between Mitt's father and Obama's father. Not only was George Romney a U.S. citizen, he was a citizen from birth since both his parents were U.S. citizens.

I purchased a copy of Photoshop v 2.5 in 1992 and Adobe has extracted untold sums of money from me for upgrades since that time. The article was not weak. This was a poorly done forgery. Your explanation is implausible. Just for starters... the forger forgot to flatten the image. You can move the layer with the “official seal” any where that you want on the page. If the document was scanned inadvertently into multiple layers because of OCR all parts of the seal would not end up on one layer. It is very easy to verify this for yourself.

You have to ask yourself why Zullo and the Posse went to Hawaii to research the forgery. They reported that they know which computer generated the forgery. And why would Hawaii be so hesitant to produce a birth certificate to the Arizona SOS?

The more compelling argument is that the Hawaiian DOH is the author of the forgery and that they are responsible for the cover-up at Obama’s behest. The ineptitude of the forgery is much more likely to be the cause of Hawaii’s incompetence. And as far as they are concerned, it may actually be a “legal” forgery. They have taken upon themselves to create this document that “represents” what they have on file for BHO - at least that is what they currently claim.
