In her neck of the woods (Massachusetts), being a Democratic politician is the same thing but she is hardly toast - too many entitlment voters. In elite circles, lying is an artform. Ms. Fulla Bull now stands on a higher pedestal than John Kerry.
Someone tell Lizzy that she doesn’t need to worry until the drums stop.
I think “One little, two little, three little indians...” should be a song that gets played everywhere this socialist squawk goes.
Just how much of a part of Chief Lying Pants is actually Native American? Even with her stories of high cheek bones and "Pow Wow Chow" it can't be more than 1/64 of her ancestry.
I hope the RATs are stupid enough to stick with her until November; They'd probably win if they dumped her and dug up some Kennedy out of rehab to run in her place. Maybe they are waiting until the end of October to do that like they did with Lautenberg.
Brown needs to call his friend Romney and ask him to get the Mormon Church onto Warren’s ancestry. They could prove this one way or the other in about 2 days or less.
I cannot believe this woman is actually polling neck-and-neck with Brown. Then again, this is Massachusetts, where a large number of voters are truly retarded.
This is damage control and spin. Read the article. The picture in the article makes it appear as though she made this statement in public. The text indicates that it was done one-on-one with a dem friendly Globe reporter. This is a stacked deck.
Now that she has opened the door, the follow ups should be requests that she ask Harvard and Penn to release her job applications.
The Warren episode also shows the utter hypocrisy of liberals with regard to race. While they boast they want a post racial society, in her case they embrace the same racial purity standard of one drop of minority blood makes you a minority that was the credo of the Nazi eugenics laws and slave holding society prior to the Civil War. However can you imagine the firestorm that would have erupted if Warren used this same long lost ancestor standard to claim she was Black.
Go Fauxchohantus!!!
If she was always so "proud" you think she wouldn't have simply assumed the story to be true. That does not seem to be very interested in her background, and certainly not very lawyer-like. If she was truly "proud" she would have done some real research; found out just who it was in her family that married a Native American; found the name/s of her Indian ancestors, found out when, where, there was a marriage, etc. Then she would have verified it and have reason to make her claim. But, instead...she was lazy and just believed tales and tried to use the unproven story for her advantage.
However, taking into account that she actually believes this tale... Her story smacks of tales that people tell who believe in reincarnation. They always say that they feel they were some important, known person ( a person of royalty, or some famous historical figure, etc)...or just anyone better or more exciting than they are now, in this life. They never admit to believing they were just an unimportant, unknown, unaccomplished slob before, and that is what they still are today. LOL.
So...Elizabeth claims to have Cherokee blood. Naturally, she would say she is descended from someone from a tribe that is well known, and one for which there has been much empathy in this country. She, naturally, could not say she had an ancestor of some little-known, insignificant, Native American tribe who married someone from her "white" family. No, she had to claim heritage from the tribe that would be recognized, and that would make her more important. It sounds more impressive to say she is related to the Cherokee Nation than it would be to claim her American Indian ancestors never had any prominence in history, are not recorded or mentioned much in any stories, and were not a tribe that had prominence.
Liberals always feel they are more important. Thus Elizabeth had to claim that any American Indian ancestors she has must have been more important and remembered, also. That is her logic.
American Indians are all proud of their tribal roots...and I am sure are not happy that Elizabeth wants to lay claim to their pride when there is no proof. The Cherokee, I am sure, made note of when one of their own married a White man or White woman. It would have been an event that the tribe remembered and a story they could recall in their way. In those days most tribes of any Native American nation did not want their blood mixed, any more than any others did.
Now.....what is harvard’s motto again?......”veritas”?.......”truth”........
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
She has the perfect defense. She's a Democrat, so she needed to lie in order to help you.
In Massachusetts she could kill her little boy (or girl) toy, claim confusion, and still get elected for life.
Wonder what kind of Federal Cash Brownie Points an institution earns for having a diverse diversity census report?
And what Federal penalties would have befallen us had any of us peons and peasants been caught fraudulently diversifying our diversity census report? And that certainly the Ivy League Royalty can expect exemption from.
Normally, I would agree with you, as morally-questionable flip-flopping is SOP for Masshole Dems (Cf. Sen. Kerry, “I was for the $87billion before I was against it,” who still doesn’t seem to have paid the MA taxbill on his multimillion dollar yacht). What is weird here is that it is now the Globe digging up “inconvenient truths” about Fauxcahontas’s record. Are they playing a game on behalf of some faction of the Dem Party or — and it makes me queasy to consider it — has El Globo grown a spine and decided it’s more important to stick up for the priciple of afirmative action than it is to protect Grandma Liz’s chance to unseat the hated Scott Brown?
Plus, for a woman so "proud" of her heritage as an American Indian, she participated in exactly zero Native American-type thingies on the Harvard Campus. Even the head of the AI program over there had no idea about her.
In other words, this whole "proud" line is complete bullsh*t. She's been exposed.
Ten or twenty years ago a project was undertaken to determine whether sub-Saharan Africans were related genetically to Egyptians and/or other North Africans. It wound up that they are not related but that the peoples around the Mediterranean rim were related to each other. The “rim people” had anti-bodies that were not present in sub-Saharans but were present in peoples around the rim. Couldn’t this be done by Ms. Warren?
I think what happened in that family is that long ago someone made a joke of some sort about a family member acting like an Indian (before all the PC rules). And another chimed in by teasing... "Yeah, like 1/32nd!" Just to be funny. Somehow the family continued this "joke" until some started to take it seriously. You know how families are.
It is sort of how families joke about the girl in the family who always acts like a "princess." To which another family member might say..."Oh, right.. about 1/32nd maybe. You know,if she thinks that she has a drop of royal blood in her she thinks she should be treated with privilege." And everyone laughs because it was funny. With Elizabeth, somewhere along the way the funny/teasing comment became a whooping lie that family members told seriously.
What is really funny, and could be ironic, is that she could ask Mitt Romney to check it for her. After all, the Mormon religion/Church of Latter Day Saints has been tracing genealogy for people for hundreds of years. Their records are extensive. They do this because it is their belief that it is important for deceased ancestors to be recognized. As per Wikipedia:
The Genealogical Society of Utah, founded in 1894, later became the Family History Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). The department's research facility, the Family History Library, which has developed the most extensive genealogical record-gathering program in the world,[citation needed] was established to assist in tracing family lineages for special religious ceremonies that Mormons believe will seal family units together for eternity. Mormons believe that this fulfilled a biblical prophecy stating that the prophet Elijah would return to 'turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers.'[3]
Wouldn't it be a hoot if, Warren has to turn to Romney to help her sort out her "roots!" LOL
You see this every so often between the media and Dems. It’s a power struggle. Everything makes more sense if you think of the DNC as the political wing of the media. Every so often one of the media’s hand maidens goes off the reservation or gets uppity, or embarrasses their patron, at which point the media feels compelled to punish them and bring them back to the fold.
The Globe will of course knock this all off before July and endorse Lizzy, but she will understand who her boss is and how high to jump when the Globe writes her editorial direction.
