County elections supervisors raised red flags, and then federal authorities weighed in Thursday to demand the state of Florida halt its ongoing push to remove thousands of voters from the rolls.

The U.S. Department of Justice sent a letter contending Florida's efforts to identify people who are not U.S. citizens violates federal voting laws.

We honestly need to cancel out all registration rolls and have everyone re-register. Because of the consequences of voting, there ought to be some effort involved in registering. At the very least, you should go to your county courthouse with proof of citizenship.

This process should be repeated every 8 to 10 years.

BTW, I just got my father off the voter rolls in Georgia. He passed away 3 years ago! I could have requested an absentee ballot for him right off the state website. The effort to remove him was much more involved and required several email exchanges and a couple of phone calls!

Anyway, here is a site you can use to check if your deceased love ones... and others... have been removed. Can I Vote

Verify.

Agreed! I live in Tampa, the Carrollwood area, and it is mostly conservatives. I have talked with my neighbors and there is no one voting for Zero. The office I work in downtown Tampa and believe me most are conservatives and will vote Republican.

There is I-4 corridor stretching from Hillsborough County to Orlando that has voted consistently Republicans.

I assure you that Zero won’t take Florida!

Any attempt to remove categories of people is going to at the least appear to be discriminatory. If the rolls are to be puged, then avoid the claims of discrimination by purging everyone. Require everyone to re-register and require everyone to prove citizenship. Beyond that, thumbprint each voter and record with video the entrances and exits to polls.

I live in S. Tampa. I would say probably 60-40 conservative. I have always found Mother Trib to be just right of center. My favorite watering hole actually has “Hope for change...Nobama 2012” on their marquis.
