Another preposterous lie.
Ugly, stupid, and crooked is a bad combination.
And I thought Ward Churchill was a hoot. You know, I think about 1000 years ago one of my ancestors in Ireland may have had a child by a black man! If so I want my rights! I am sick and tired of being held down by the man! The test for fireman is racist! I want my additional 10 point credit because of my new found race! Where be my affirmative actions? I am Trayvon!
So either Warren has lied once again or, in the best case, her mom lied to her, in which case this might explain Elizabeth’s congenital predisposition to tell tall tales!
What a joke!
I’m starting to think she is mentally ill.
She just can’t let go of this Cherokee thing, nor can she stop herself from giving voice to all the “family lore” (ie. fantasies). She also seems incapable of recognizing that a majority of people do NOT care about her constant burnishing of her leftist, racial bona-fides.
They had to elope because of a thimble-full of Cherokee blood? In Oklahoma people brag about their Cherokee blood. Including, evidently, people who don’t have any.
That would make her mother only 1/16 Cherokee, not enough to be officially recognized by the Cherokee Nation as being one of them. This woman keeps digging the hole deeper for herself.
To be fair to Elizabeth Running-Mouth Warren, I know of several elopements in which the couple were married in a church after arranging for two witnesses and a minister. This is not relevant to her creative writing project on family history.
I’m totally impressed that “our” media is biting into this story like a rabid pit bull.
I’d love to see them investigate if Warren’s two adult children have used this ruse for college or job preferential treatment.
Oh my. Warren is the gift that keeps gving.
Hey, dem wuz hahd times, lemme tellya.
We hadda elope cuz my daddy dinna like it that yo mama was an Injun, ya see?
But we dinna have money enough 'cept to git outta town, so's we eloped down atta reg'lar church in town heah...
First off, I don’t believe that a word the Ms Warren says, but...
Friends of my parents were out on a date, decided to get married, found a church that was open and pulled in a couple of people off the street as witnesses and got married
So, you can elope and be married in a church. At least you could in the 1920’s.
BTW, this marriage lasted over 65 years till the husband died at the age of 96, so spur of the moment decisions can work out okay.
Elizabeth Warren keeps flapping her gums on her Indian ancestry because she fears civil or criminal lawsuits for illegally claiming to be an Indian.
Otherwise, there is no reason why she would make the frivolous claim that her parents eloped because her fake 1/16th Cherokee mother had high cheekbones and her father’s family were biased against high cheekboned people.
I think I understand this ancestry business now. Just name it and claim it. Presto, you’re an native American.
These people just can’t stop lying.
Hopefully, she won’t get mixed up in her fables and say her grandmother was the first woman to breastfeed in Oklahoma.....
Was batshit a tribe, because she’s definitely more than 1/32 batshit.
The Squaw has ditched her shovel and brought in a Cat D11.
