Speculation? Hardly.
According to Mark O'Mara, Zimmerman's lawyer, $5,000 of the donor money was used to post Zimmerman's bond. It's doubtful that he didn't know/think he had the money when he used part of it for his bond.
That is not speculation. The phone calls between Zimmerman and his wife, the day before the bond hearing, showed they both knew about the money in the account. They discussed it. And the wife was asked about it on the day of the hearing. They said the brother in law was in charge of the acct.
