WASHINGTON - Pastors meeting in Washington have been warned about political activities that could jeopardize their churches' tax-exempt status.
IRS regional manager Peter Lorenzetti told the Faith Leaders Summit that prohibited activities include endorsing or opposing candidates, campaigning for them, or making contributions to their campaigns.
But pastors are free to do any of those things as private citizens, according to Congressman G.K. Butterfield. The North Carolina Democrat, a former judge, said, "You simply cannot do it in your capacity as the pastor of the church and give the implication that the church is endorsing the candidate."

This occurs during every Marxist takeover like clockwork.
This law has never applied to black churches.
Notice that Holder’s meeting with the conference came AFTER Obama’s announcement on gay marriage, which most black churches oppose. In other words, “You’re welcome to support Obama from the pulpit, but if you criticize him from the pulpit, you’re exposing yourself to violating your tax-exempt status!”
Commie scum-boy has been telling them not to worry...
I must say I thought Jerry Falwell won a court case about something like this..........
Catholic churches need not apply for Holder's dispensation...
Fixed it.
>>With regards to this administration, what comes after loathing?
A couple things come to mind, but I prefer “Don’t fire until you see the whites of their eyes”.
Yet Holder, the IRS and the ACLU went to a group of Black Pastor to rteach them how to campaign for Obama????
The hypocracy that exists in America under Obam is staggering!

What’s it going to take to put the IRS in jeopardy?
Tax them all or tax none of them but let them speak freely.
Mr. Lorenzetti may wake up tomorrow with a horse’s head in his bed.
IRS rules on politics and campaigning ONLY apply to white churches; Black churches ALWAYS get a pass whether it is at the local level or in a national campaign.
A tax revolt, but Americans are too terrorized to pull it off.
Except, of course, ALL the campaigning and speeches that go on in black churches.
As opposed to the preachers before the American Revolution leading their congregations out, with their guns, to join.
Are we men?

UNLESS it’s a Black Church.

The Mouthpiece for the Administration speaks. For years the Black Churches have been pimping from the pulpit for the Democrats.
NOW, Obama is directing HIS IRS to target opposition churches.
EVERYONE on this Forum should check out the Cristiano Rebellion in Mexico. In the Early 1900’s the Socialist Government there attempted to wipe religion from public life in Mexico, using the army and military terror. A sizable number of the Mexican population went from passive protest and resistance to open rebellion and succeeded in forcing the government to moderate their opposition to God and religion in the public sphere. Only until fairly recently did the Mexican government fully lift restrictions against religion.
There is a movie which has been released this weekend on this very subject, and, as it is NOT a Hollywood Production, should represent the story pretty accurately.
The Obama Administration, along with preceding administrations since Ronald Reagan, have sought to do the same thing here.
