Didn’t he introduce Bob Crane to, John Carpenter, the pervert who would later kill him and leave his brain on his car?

If Carpenter is the guy I’m thinking of, it sure looked as if he killed Crane but nothing could be proven. In addition, JC, on his death bed was given a chance to come clean if he did murder Bob Crane and said he did not (FWIW).

I could be mistaken.

If that's true and assuming Dawson had no reason to think that Carpenter was a psychopath then he can't be held responsible. But if Dawson's anything like me he still would have felt really bad.

The story is that Dawson intoduced Crane to Carpenter, who had the primitive video recording equipment that both guys used to record their sexual activity with numerous women.

Its a sick story with a sad ending for Bob Crane.

Dawson did well for himself in the game show field after the Hogans Heroes series.
